@RokkinRoxanne@menard_ray@sharnzer@ArijitBanik extremely unlikely he just “woke up and pulled everything out &got up to walk around”. I’m an icu R. Intubated patients are on sedation & if they aren’t then nurses are close by to ensure they don’t just rip tubes out. Either way he 100% didn’t get right out of bed &walk around
@RokkinRoxanne@menard_ray@sharnzer@ArijitBanik They don’t just intubate if you’re positive that’s ridiculous. Intubation is a last resort method for ARDS with is caused by COVID pneumonia. Not just COVID positive people get intubated. Bless.
@JSMazarr @risahoshinoMD And what about inpatient, specifically critical care patients? What’s the treatable cure them? I’m an icu rn and have worked with COVID since the start. There’s no cure at that point. Thank you for the other reference though.
@HourOfIgnorance @risahoshinoMD Yes, this simple truth re Public Health has been lost along the way…kinda like a parent…not their job to be our best friend, it’s our future , our well being & safety that matters, always!
If you’re the kinda nurse that gets on a computer and tries to go through everything before coming to relieve the other nurse, you’re 0/10 stars automatically
COVID update: Based on European case increases, the US could see a new rise in COVID cases over the Spring.
The wave is likely to look different in several ways. 1/
