With the Labour government now in office, yesterday, the Code of Practice on dismissal and re-engagement (known as fire and rehire) issued by the Secretary of State came into force. We are representing four claimants in the Employment Tribunal against British Airways.
Their contracts were changed, and they were offered lower pay to stay (fire and rehire). We say this hit those Cabin Crew who were older, had caring responsibilities, or disabilities the hardest.
Any week now, we expect to receive the judgment for three test cases brought by Foster Carers.
The case's importance could only be heard through the tremendous work of @RachelCrasnowQC, @MilsomChr, and @nupfc.
