It is tough to see farmers in the position they are in and being used as pawns in DC. Every farmer I know would rather get their revenue from the market than from the government. But the market sucks and we are already drawing against a stacked deck (other countries). The more sad thing is that the overwhelming majority of the US population either doesn't know or doesn't care. In fact, you would be surprised to see how many people in rural areas actively pull AGAINST the farmer despite the obvious positive economic ripple effect in the community when times are good.
