@Fletcher_Lynd It is futile to demand narrative consistency from a story rooted in oral tradition. I simply expected more visual grandeur from Nolan, nothing more.
@WeeshedYaPie What in the 3 bedroom, council tax dodging, universal credit state is that? Somebody's grandad has shamed the whole family! Unless they are just as bad!
Germany's position on the matter is clear and reflects a consensus across all segments of its society. We remain steadfast in our stance and will not engage in discussions until the moment arrives when you acknowledge that we were justified and had no culpability in this matter.
The Home Office may avoid publishing official figures, but the situation is clear.
Since 1 September, approvals appear to have stopped.
Based on what we see across community groups, around 3,000 ECAA applicants — including ILR and extensions — are currently waiting, and this number is increasing every day.
Applicants are receiving inconsistent explanations from the Home Office:
– “staff shortages — things will improve in April”
No — April has passed, nothing changed.
– “your case requires detailed review”
No — before 1 September, similar cases were decided within 1–2 months.
– “additional checks with other government bodies”
Are you checking people's ancestors’ history?
We have been living in this country over 5 years.
Has it been 8 months and the checks are still not completed?
We did not come here by swimming across the sea.
We came legally, and have been living and working in the UK for over 5 years.
And yet, thousands of people are now being forced into prolonged uncertainty.
Around 3,000 people are experiencing serious psychological strain.
No one is planning anything.
No one is booking holidays.
Families are putting their lives on hold.
Children are being told: “we’re waiting for a visa decision.”
This situation is affecting an entire community.
And if this continues, it is no longer a question of “if” but when thousands of legal cases will be brought.
@ukhomeoffice what has changed since 1 September?
@Keir_Starmer@ShabanaMahmood We need your urgent attention and help.
Thousands of legal applicants are facing prolonged visa delays with no transparency.
