Happy National School Psychology Week to all of the school psychs in Tennessee! We're so thankful for all of you and everything you do to support students and families in our state. Our job can be difficult but #togetherweshine@nasponline
“Every child must have access to a mental health professional.” Thank you @SecCardona for highlighting the need for more school psychologists as a top priority. We are proud to be a partner in this effort! #NASPadvocates
@TNEdReport If they aren’t going to increase educator pay or per pupil spending, at least invest in recruiting practices to help us retain graduates from teacher and school psychology programs in the state.
@TNEdReport And a school psychologist crisis as well. We cannot “beef up tier 1” practices if we are barely surviving and don’t have enough Human Resources.
This is terrible news. And the new BEP formula is supposedly being shared in January??? How is that possible unless they have written it well before the town hall meetings? Funding Board Foul https://t.co/37VLEHErji via @TheAndySpears
"That's not fair to you, it's not fair to our students, and it's not fair to our families" - @EdTrust President, @JohnBKing on the need for solutions to school psychologist shortages during #SchoolPsychWeek and beyond. Watch his remarks: https://t.co/vjRGq0q6Ok #NASPadvocates
https://t.co/YVrCRjuAqS Attended this town hall meeting tonight with @ClaytonPsych615 on behalf on @TASPonline to request increased funding in new BEP formula for additional #schoolpsych positions in #Tennessee. We support the whole child!
I love when administration and teachers seek my input and value my insight, especially when suggestions are implemented. I love love love problem solving with my team, especially when it involves data! 📊💟
Stop by the MNPS booth at @nashvillepride this weekend to say hey. We've got some "MNPS for All" t-shirts and goods to give away, too.
Why are we going to Pride?
Because LGBTQ+ students, staff & families must feel safe, welcomed, affirmed & valued in our schools 🏳️🌈
News flash: If you ban mask mandates, outlaw abortions, dictate what educators can teach in schools, and stop people from voting, you're not the party of "limited government."
