To be fair - the train has now been turned off since posting. But there always seems a delay in actioning this even when it’s evident the service has been suspended
@GWRHelp why is the train constantly left running when it’s cancelled. Trainline also says it’s departed which is hasn’t… so frustrating that when it’s cancelled you can’t just turn the train off and stop polluting the air unnecessarily.
@SionJohn43185@Bufftontuffton3@GWRHelp Yes - there’s a few blocks of flats adjacent to platform 1 which is where the train is left some evenings. Hence knowing how long it’s left on for.
@GWRHelp can we look into why we feel it’s okay to just sit at Bourne End Station on a Sunday morning with our engine on releasing unnecessary pollution into the air? The first train isn’t until 8:45am yet every time you leave the train stationed here overnight this happens
@SionJohn43185@Bufftontuffton3@GWRHelp Why 30 minutes though? When normally they only turn it on for 10 minutes max to warm it up?
How do I know it’s left on all night? I live on the platform….
@SionJohn43185@Bufftontuffton3@GWRHelp Train is left ticking all night (I presume in standby mode)
But then turned on again circa 7:30 to left on running as seen in the video until 8 to do an empty run taking it back to Maidenhead I presume to start the day. That half n hour of it left running is just unnecessary.
@GWRHelp Thank you Steve. With one of your priorities “cut carbon emissions by improving energy efficiency across depots, stations and offices, and supporting the decarbonisation of rail traction through innovation and partnership” how can you make sure this doesn’t continuously happen?
@networkrail Could you advise when the overnight works at BNE are due to end? As a resident, I have not received a letter about these works, which is unusual as communication has always been very good in the past. I would appreciate knowing the expected end date. Thank you
@GWRHelp can we please sort this out when you get a chance? It’s really too loud and painful on the ears. The speaker system is a bit poorly
Thank you
