We wrapped up day one of the #JudicialColloquium with a refreshing #selfcare session, where Justice, Law and Order Sector actors and other stakeholders stepped away from their demanding roles to connect through fun team-building games, wellness exercises, and laughter.
The session was a reminder that self-care is not a luxury. It is essential for building resilience, preventing burnout, and strengthening the capacity to serve others with empathy and effectiveness.

❝The true measure of a public service is not whether it serves the majority well, but whether it reaches those who face the greatest barriers.❞ ~ Ms @AJRuth3 Ajalo, Head Strategic Litigation - CEHURD
Building on this message, Ruth Ajalo highlighted the barriers women and girls face in accessing public services, including economic, physical, cultural, institutional, and digital challenges that often create multiple vulnerabilities. She emphasized that applying a Human Rights Based Approach (#HRBA) ensures services are delivered fairly, inclusively, and without discrimination, while upholding the rights, dignity, and equality of every individual. She encouraged interns to contribute to inclusive public service delivery by treating everyone with respect, maintaining confidentiality, identifying barriers, and supporting practical solutions that improve women's health and rights.

❝The oath that doctors take has made us prisoners of our own profession. The five-year course is already too long for parents to sustain, and extending it by another year without facilitation is unfair and a violation of human rights. Stakeholders must be listened to when addressing this matter. We should push for a parliamentary act to establish a permanent policy that safeguards the future of interns. My first priority should be the life of my patients, I should not be attending to them while worrying about food, accommodation, or transport.❞

If mosquitoes can't transmit HIV but sharp objects can I really think the cure for Hiv is in mosquitoes. You don't need to be a scientist to know this.

Great visit @GuluHospital on 11th Nov 2025, by Dr Derek Harborne (MUST MMed Founder) and Hannah Wilcock (RCEM) exploring Emergency Medicine training establishment in Acholi via Gulu University. Advancing specialised care for our region! Thank you for the partnership discussion.
Congratulations to our Safe Motherhood Champions from Gulu Regional Referral Hospital; Okech Francis, Anaesthesia, and Albert Okanya, Neonatal Nurse!
Your excellence in saving mothers and newborns inspires us all.
To the women that live with men or have shared space with a man...
Your man is going to come home, put everything down,
sit somewhere like a statue, or grab a book, be on his phone or game, newspaper, passively watch TV, or just be quiet and numb.
Most men do this, especially after a long day.
In that moment, he is thinking of nothing. He’s not annoyed, teyakukyaye, si nti takufako.
He is in his nothing box. A place in his head where he wants to think about, do, and say nothing.
All he needs is a cup of tea, juice, fruits, or his favorite thing to eat.
Don’t bother him with questions like "what’s wrong?",
Don’t ask your friends why your man is quiet because they are going to point you into more confusing paths.
Just give him his favorite thing and either sit beside him and rub his feet, head, or shoulders, or go to the next room and stay quiet.
Leaders from the Acholi Sub-Region convened at Bomah Hotel for the Health Joint Review Mission on 26th-28th Aug 2025 with Chief Guest Hon. Hillary Onek, deliberating on resilient health systems, disaster preparedness & community development. Together we rise, Stronger each day!
At @GuluHospital, food demos are empowering families in the Acholi subregion with skills to prepare nutritious, low-cost meals. A step towards ending malnutrition & nurturing healthier communities!

AN EVERLASTING HUNGER
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6 (KJV)
True hunger for God grows continually the more you know Him.
Lust, on the other hand, is quenched the moment it receives the object of its desire.
If you want to test if a man is working under hunger or lust, simply study how the things he receives detach him from the presence of God.
The Bible says that those who genuinely thirst and hunger shall be filled. He does not quench this desire temporarily; He fills us with the kind of knowledge that can only make us desire Him more.
David said in Psalm 27:4, “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.”
This was an experience by a man who, every time He received a deeper revelation of God and beheld His glory and beauty, could only wish to spend more time in the presence of His Lord.
Today, I wish to invite you into this place of relationship with God, that the more you know Him, the more you will want to know Him.
Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. It is such a great privilege to commune with You and see You for who You really are. I continually build a life of intimacy with Your Spirit, who teaches me the depth of Your personality and essence. Knowing You is my greatest pursuit now and forever. Amen.

Beloved child of God,
New seasons are opening for you. Every gate of your new season and advantage will carry its full course into maturation; you will not come short of anything, your fruit will not be cast off before time (miscarriages)
Every opportunity will come with the right preparation to enjoy God’s best. You will not birth things out of season; you are ahead of your peers and the wisdom of the age; the Spirit of God sends you midwives and helpers for your seasons, identity and destiny.
Your womb is blessed, your vision is great. Your offspring acknowledge that they are whom the Lord has blessed to be in your stead. In your family, workplace, ministry, secular industry- all men will say that indeed God has granted them a shepherd after His own heart.
Nothing you give birth to or put your hand to will die at the hand of darkness. I decree and declare that your children are called back and aligned in character and into the fold; there will be no gender confusion, ungodly influences or separation with your seed.
You shall not see terror and calamities, the arrows of wickedness will not harm you. There is no curse against whom God has blessed! Rest in this.
Your seed and everything associated with you will bow to and follow the course of your priestly altar and God- foundations they are set into.
You are turning the kingdoms of this world into the Kingdom of God! You are empowered for this! Praise God!
