Hey #PortfolioDay 👋
I'm Toby, a UI Artist at Epic Games/Mediatonic on @FortniteGame - and also a fan art illustrator in my free time 😄 Love clean and colourful styles, and very happy to do what I do!
Soooooooo I'm probably going to start streaming again this weekend and I'm going to turn my monetization into a fund for some of those that got laid off from @EpicGames. Not everyone needs the financial help but I know a few really could.
If anyone could help share this thanks
Epic got me. But the support from my team has meant everything. Hard not to tear up at being called your team's Captain America.
I came up as a storyteller at Blizzard. Artifacts, Class Halls, Argus. Brought my energy to Fortnite Quests. Grew into Battle Pass and more. Wild!
I was sadly impacted by this! I loved every minute I got to be a part of such an amazing group of developers! I am so thankful for my time
I am looking towards the future - if anyone has any leads of openings in QA please let me know. I have 4+ years experience!
After almost 8 years, my time at Epic Games has come to an unexpected end.
It’s hard to put into words what an incredible journey it has been, but I’ll try in this 🧵
I lost my dream job today in these layoffs. If anyone can help with leads for QA work or even just wants to chat and catch up, please reach out. My dms are open. My whole team was impacted. Look out for them, too. What a horrible day.
Rough day. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and mentions.
I want to say that since my arrival on the Fortnite team, the game’s story community has been nothing but stellar towards me. You all made me feel very welcome.
It was fun being part of an amazing team of storytellers.
Unfortunately me and my team were hit by the Epic layoffs. Still in shock at depth and speed it's happened at.
I've loved the 5+ yrs here but I'm also deeply looking forward to taking a bit of a break and then finding something new and exciting to work on. Onwards and upwards!
Diva down! After 4.5 years at Epic my roles been marked as at risk with the layoffs announced today.
I've been extremely lucky to have spent my time working with a ton of talented, kind and, wonderful people. I'm so proud of everything we got to work on together.
I was part of the Epic layoffs today. I worked as a Art Outsource Lead overseeing Fortnite Lego minifigs. I worked on everything from K-Pop DH, to huge streamers and minifigs for the latest Superman movies. If you’re looking for a Outsource Lead, Lead Or Char artist let me know!
Hey y'all... Ya so I got laid off too from Fortnite Festival. All I've ever wanted to do was make cool games for people that help them feel a little bit better or happier in their day... It's so sad that it's this hard to do just that.
Well, it had to happen at some point.
I have just been laid off from #epicgames
I really enjoyed my time working there, but it’s time to find my next adventure.
If you know of something, just let me know.
I’m a part of the layoffs today at Epic, closing out four years working on Fortnite. It’s been the privilege of my early career being a part of this team. I’m proud of what we built, and grateful for every person I got to build it with. Fortnite will always be special to me.
I was laid off today. I spent the last 2 years as the only UI Engineer on Festival, implementing new features like Local Multi-player, Festival Menu, Calibration, and new game modes. I dove into focus and input issues, often helping other teams with their issues as well.
Unfortunately, my role was impacted. 7 years on Fortnite now wrapped up. Lots of good people looking for new jobs today. If you know of any that fit my skillset, please let me know
Winter break has begun! ❄️
Been a great year both personally and professionally. Hope you all enjoy the holidays with your loved ones, and looking forward to making even greater stuff in 2026! 😄
And we can't have Homer without donuts, so I had to design some delicious BP Icons for this Pass. We've got the simple glazed donut, and the classic pink frosting donut with sprinkles.
Mmmm... Sprinkles
