Here is the simple math.

If your generator can power 2 ACs, a fridge running 24/7, and your pumping machine, you are most likely spending at least ₦20,000 on fuel daily.

•₦20,000 × 30 days = ₦600,000 monthly
•₦600,000 × 12 months = ₦7.2 million yearly
•₦7.2 million × 10 years = ₦72 million

And this doesn’t include servicing, oil changes, or repairs on the generator.

Meanwhile, about ₦15 million can install a 20kVA hybrid inverter system with roughly 45kWh lithium batteries and enough solar panels to power the same appliances for close to a decade without your lights blinking or spending on fuel every day.

When you look at the long-term cost, solar isn’t expensive. It only looks expensive when you focus on the initial setup instead of the lifetime cost.
