@RoxaneLGibson1@zellieimani A terrible and tragic accident, based on a neutral evaluation. Conspiracy theories and foul play allegations have no basis in fact. But people will believe or refuse to believe whatever they want. https://t.co/x8fa3aoLrw
@bobrobertsjr Tragic, yes, but we cannot immediately place blame for such an event. Wait for some type of verification. Both sides use propaganda & disinformation.
@ZaidJilani Fear-mongering works both ways, whether by DeSantis or Newsome. I wouldn't want to be a public school teacher in either state. But ultimately, state voters decide who's governor and the public educ systems offered. Btw, Sarasota is my home town.
@deaninserra Not wild, just different audiences. Bowdoin College in Maine, and his constituents in Tennessee. Plus he learned to preach from watching his educated preacher father.
@BaptistBlogger@IMB_SBC As I recall, John David Hopper spoke 8 languages and was a gracious, deeply spiritual leader. Heard him speak at SWBTS in the 80s. Then in early 90s, when the FMB suddenly stopped funding the Ruschlikon seminary, the Hoppers became 2 of the first 4 CBF missionaries.
@BaptistBlogger Led me to Stetzer's podcast for helpful context. The Apostle Paul might say, "Pray on, brother." (It started 4
years ago.) No doubt, some Baptists will jump to judge his private prayer life and understanding of the Holy Spirit without listening, reading, or engaging with him.
@alwyn_lau Yep. "1883" is just a one-season prequel to the whole story. "1923" is two seasons. Yellowstone, wildly popular on the Paramount+ streaming platform, is the ongoing saga of the Dutton family, in its 5th season now.
@alwyn_lau Taylor Sheridan is THE prolific screenwriter, producer, director, and horse trainer in Hollywood today. A 20-year veteran actor, and lifelong real Texas cowboy.
@BaptistBlogger Revival chasers & opportunistic fraudsters? Should we be pulled in by such cynicism if/when there is a wave of genuine spiritual awakening? Is that our first reaction? Or should we pray it runs deep, wide, & unadulterated? #asburyrevival2023
@DivorcedDad_USA First reason was a superficial criticism. Second reason was the crux of the matter. I started the MDiv in 83 under Dilday and couldn't finish the PhD in time to have his signature on the parchment. Missed it by 6 months.
@DivorcedDad_USA "His refusal to change the way ministers of music are trained and his willingness to hire biblical moderates as well as conservatives for the faculty were two of the reasons for his firing."
