@sheilagregoire What if the husband is a workaholic and frequent business traveler? Convinced that being a great provider is all he has to do. He isn't even religious. Its just so engrained in the culture that providing is his only job.
@EverydaySexism I just heard about Laura's book. I used to be heavily involved with the manosphere and know how they tick. I was one of their favored red pill women and I have a lot of insight and info, if interested.
@JulianaStewart_ I'm a sahm with 3 kids. I still feel all those things. I haven't got a full night sleep in 5 years. Gender roles don't prevent burn out. Life is exhausting and overwhelming regardless.
@JulianaStewart_ So if I'm triggered by idiot feminists, does that mean I'm actually a feminist and have been in denial? Sometimes you are just triggered and there doesn't have to be some hidden reason.
@_hannah_ramsay Except it's a lot more than just hanging out. Presenting it like that make it look easy peasy and sets women up with unreasonable expectations.
@JulianaStewart_ @KTW_2020 Moms with babies and toddlers don't have 20 minutes or even 5. Kids and husband come first. I dont like it but that's the cultural standard. I powder face at stop lights. It's a luxury to put on full make up.
@SuzanneVenker Its hugely misleading because moms aren't all smiles all the time. Often they look just like those career women. I don't like the marketing of work always being all suck and being a sahm always being all happy.
@AshDunston Love this. Thank you. Real businesses take grueling work. My man puts in 70 hr, kid free weeks to grow his very really IT business and it's still hard.
@JulianaStewart_ Moms are going to look like men than cause that's how moms get it done. We hustle. You don't get the luxury to slow down when small kids need you.
