I quit Amazon to build a startup

Since then:
→ Moved to Bangkok 🇹🇭
→ Rejected by YC 2x
→ Pivoted 2x
→ Sent 500+ cold outbound
→ Still building every day

Not every founder story is an overnight success

Haven’t posted here in months. That changes today.

@Kalshi_Finance great but when’s fable coming back

Interesting that one of society’s most important systems still relies on paper ballots and manual counting.

Tough day for the staff running the Bangkok governor election in nearly 40 degrees heat.

But if a system’s legitimacy depends on public trust, can it ever be fully AI?

@jacobrodri_ lets go bangkok

@sridharfyi bare minimum also doesn’t mean you have to be eating instant ramen everyday or live in a closet apartment. don’t neglect your health and wellbeing.

As an early-stage founder, you have to ignore the “grass is greener” feeling.

Every new idea looks better than the one you’re building.

@alexmashrabov Finding people in the creative industry to tell you what’s broken is a key decision. Interested in knowing how you found these people.

A lot of words that don’t mean a whole lot. Trying to be a harness, router, and model all in one.

[Sakana AI @SakanaAILabs]

How does it work?

Sakana Fugu is itself an LLM, trained to call various LLMs in an agent pool, including instances of itself recursively. Fugu dynamically orchestrates the world's best models to tackle complex, multi-step tasks.

As shown in this figure, Fugu is a multi-agent system that behaves like a single model. You send a request to one endpoint, and Fugu decides how to handle it internally.

Fugu manages model selection, delegation, verification, and synthesis automatically. It solves tasks directly when that is enough, or coordinates a team of expert models when a problem calls for more. The complexity of a multi-agent system never reaches your code.

At launch, Sakana Fugu comes in two models accessed via a single OpenAI-compatible API:

• Fugu balances strong performance with low latency for everyday work. It fits naturally into tools like Codex for coding, as well as chatbots and interactive services. You can also opt specific agents out of its pool for data compliance.

• Fugu Ultra is our flagship model tuned for maximum answer quality on hard, multi-step problems. It coordinates a deeper pool of expert agents for demanding work like AI research, cybersecurity analysis, and patent investigations.

@uday_devops Losing hope. I guess if you can’t think of any other thing to try then it’s over.

What’s stopping you from building?
