in bikolano, the word for this part of the mouth is called ngudoy. it's the pointed (forms like a mountain) part of the upper lip, below the cupid's bow. it is often said that when you have a pointed ngudoy you used to love sucking on something as a child (baby bottle, pacifier)

the silverwood could be an allegory for many things, but to me it really fits sexuality. his bodily autonomy was stolen from him as a child, resurfaced when he tried to experience a bond with olruggio, and is something continuously represses through adulthood.

growing up whenever qifrey & olly sits close together in a tight space (pegasus carriage, study hall etc.), olly would ritually trace patterns on the hem of qifrey's cloak with a finger. post-tree qifrey would feel it on his skin & realize it was ghodrey letters for "i love you"
