$35T value transferred. ~85% of DeFi built on @OpenZeppelin contracts.
ERC-7540, the standard built for assets that settle on their own timeline, joins core DeFi infrastructure.
An OpenZeppelin implementation, built with @centrifuge and @superformxyz, brings it to developers working on real-world assets.
Tokenized treasuries, private credit, and regulated funds often settle over days, a timeline synchronous onchain vaults weren't designed for.
We've merged an implementation of ERC-7540 with support from @tokenizedvault members @centrifuge and @superformxyz to solve this.
Capital markets are built in layers. Securitization, tranching, fund wrappers, each one transforming what sits below it.
The same layering is assembling onchain, except every layer is a vault.
A vault is only as strong as the foundation behind it.

Great to join @Vault__Summit as a Community Partner.
Vault standards like ERC-4626 and ERC 7540 are becoming core infrastructure for how assets operate onchain, not just how they’re issued, but how they integrate, scale, and get used.
Looking forward to pushing this forward together.

@tokenizedvault supports the development and adoption of open standards for onchain vaults, stewarding key frameworks like ERC-4626 and advancing secure, interoperable infrastructure across the ecosystem.
Learn how vault standards are being shaped and implemented globally.
Token standards are how DeFi scales.
ERC-20 gave every token the same interface. Any wallet, any protocol, it just works.
ERC-4626 did the same for vaults.
One standard for deposits, withdrawals, and yield. That's why @Aave, @Morpho, and @eulerfinance are interoperable; they speak the same language.
But both assume instant settlement. Deposit USDC → receive shares → same block.
Now try that with a tokenized Treasuries fund. Or a credit product. These assets settle in days, not blocks. The vault can't issue shares because the price isn't final yet. The standard breaks.
ERC-7540 fixes this. It extends ERC-4626 with a two-step request/fulfill pattern. You request a deposit or redemption, the asset settles on its own timeline, and you claim when ready. Same vault interface. Same composability. Works for assets that don't settle in one block.
Centrifuge vaults support ERC-7540 natively, so issuers deploying tokenized funds can offer async deposits and redemptions out of the box, without custom infrastructure.
$1.3B+ in tokenized assets, operating through a standard any DeFi protocol can integrate.
@centrifuge@aave@Morpho@eulerfinance 👏
ERC-7540 exists for exactly this reason.
Many tokenized assets can’t settle in a single block, and extending ERC-4626 with a request/fulfill flow keeps vault integrations standardized across DeFi.
Good to see real deployments pushing the async vault model forward.
The Word That Replaced DeFi
Ask an institution about "liquidity pools" and watch their eyes glaze over.
Ask about "vaults," and you have a conversation.
Automated yield strategies reached billions in 2025.
2026 prediction: "Vault" becomes the institutional on-ramp.
Curated yield strategies become how corporate treasury talks about DeFi.
We're excited to share our first paper on decentralized credit, published on Arxiv.
It documents the shift from DAO-governed lending protocols to modular ERC-4626 vaults, and why that changes where risk actually lives in DeFi.

Just wrote a new piece on the importance of vaults as the funds of tomorrow.
If stablecoins brought the onchain checking account, vaults will bring the onchain savings account.
