Doctor of Philosophy in Political Communication, Strategic Communication Expert, tenacious, passionate, life long learner; always wondering about what's next.
This’s a cock and bull story. No man born of a woman could have done what Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew did without the backing of the presidency; you are just pulling wools on our faces. @officialABAT and his core team are making defending this government difficult for many of us that do it pro bono. Haba!
To tackle the problems of electrify across the country, only 16 states (most in the South) have established STATE ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION.
In the South West, Lagos @jidesanwoolu , Ogun @DapoAbiodunCON , Oyo @seyimakinde , Ondo @LuckyAiyedatiwa, and Ekiti @biodunaoyebanji , have done that, ONLY Osun State of @AAdeleke_01 that is yet to see the need for this. One would expect that he would leverage on the influence his brother, Deji Adeleke wields in the power sector to shine in this regard. Iro, ijo yi ni shaaa.
Imagine if every politician seeking re-election had to first account for abandoned and unfinished projects before asking for our votes. Imagine if public promises came with public accountability.
If @charlesaniagolu had schooled outside Nigeria, he would still be paying back his student loan. The Obi vuvuzela with him went to Uniben ‘free’ like millions others including me.
For decades, Nigerian governments were funding tertiary education with the money they did not have. We all graduated and are earning livings without paying any penny back for the free schools we attended.
This is how the foundation for the woes of the nation was laid. Those foaming in the mouth to advertise ignorance are insincere because they are positioning themselves for government offices.
The wasteful system that the country ran for decades brought her to her knees; we certainly cannot continue if we still want a country.
Let @PeterObi look for serious people to articulate his visions (if any) and stop parading these jobless skits’ makers.
Few days ago, President @officialABAT admonished the media to exercise cautions in making insecurity problems as their headlines. Many see this as an attempt by the FG to censor/gag from the media.
Dr. Tokunbo Oguntuga (@tokstuga), a lecturer at the University of Ibadan sees this differently in a WhatsApp group (@LTNigeria). His opinion is thought provoking and an agenda setting proposal for the media and citizenry. The opinion is reproduced here👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿
“It is the touching for me. Constantly touching your interviewer. So rude, unprofessional and inappropriate. He must have touched that Rufai like 100 times in the course of that interview. That is a disorder hiding in plain site - impulse control disorder. Obi will never happen to Nigeria. Never!”- @tokstuga

Dear President @officialABAT GCFR,
I am a strong believer in your capacity to make Nigeria a working country. In about a month, it would be 3 years that fate has placed the destiny of Nigeria in your hands.
No doubt, the nation’s pasts are hunting her future; Nigeria, for decades has been living a borrowed life. The nation was spending what she did not have. It was a plunge into a mess!
You came and offered to stop the bleed. However, the situations seem to be defying all the logics applied by you. An economy that favors only the billionaires like Dangote, Otedola, BUA, Elumelu, Ovia and their friends is not a working economy for Nigerians.
You offered to let the poor breathe, but instead, most citizens are bleating, bleeding. The power sector that should rejuvenate the economy has practically collapsed; insecurity, especially in the north is horribly handled by your government. Condolences tweets and visits are not the result most of us expect from you. We know you possess the capacity to do better.
Just very few in government are living the lives of their dreams, the opulence displayed by the members and friends of your government is mind boggling. Politics, as you play it seems to be the only thriving sector.
The picture beneath this writing shows some measures that your govt is taking to address some issues crippling the citizens. People have reasons to doubt if this would move a needle because several past interventions further complicated the sufferings of the people.
The clock is ticking and there are rumors you want another 4 years, it is within your right. However, the situation on ground is worrying. The historical landmark projects like the Coastal and Badagry/Sokoto roads will only be remembered in the future. States not borrowing again and lecturers not striking again are not enough.
End insecurity and provide electricity to see how loving Nigerians are. Even, obidients will start to sing on your mandate!
“Prep? With Mehdi? Mehdi is one hell of an interviewer. When I heard Bwala was going to be interviewed by him….in my mind I knew it is a case of a sheep going into a slaughter house. And I am not surprised at the outcome. I have read Medhi’s book: Win Every Argument and it is an opener to the kind of steel he is made of. I am sure Bwala will look back at that interview in the future and feel sorry for himself.
Secondly, I think that interview was a recompense for his odious comments on Tinubu in the past. And it appears to me that this is always the plan of @officialABAT to punish his former traducers by bringing them back to his fold. By so doing, he makes them recant and look stupid as shameless turncoats.” - @tokstuga of @LetsTalkNig
In a WhatsApp group called @LetsTalkNig , a member asked this question on the rising naira: My question is what do UK and others do to maintain a stronger currency? Here’s how the convener of the group, Dr. @tokstuga responded, very detailed policy material that @officialABAT’s govt can do something about👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿
Dear @ChidiOdinkalu, At the University of Ibadan, excellence is earned through rigorous academic standards, merit-based admissions, & a demanding curriculum that has produced leaders for over 75 years. Our 58 First Class honors reflect the exceptional thard work of these students
“This @DrSRJ_ guy should shut up. @GovWike delivered Rivers state for @officialABAT . Did he deliver Osun for Tinubu in 2023.
Wike is a more valuable ally to Tinubu than him. He should mind his Osun business and leave Rivers state alone. The characters nudging on Fubara from Abuja are beginning to show their faces.
And people should beware of people who support treacherous characters They are kindred spirits. This Basiru acting like a meddlesome interloper today can become an Aregbe tomorrow. The last time I checked they were once allies.”- @tokstuga LET’S TALK NIGERIA LTN
But why is @PeterObi keeping billions in the Panama tax haven when we still have kids that got to bed/mat hungry and parents that cannot pay their wards’s school fees. What does your favorite artists got to with you not celebrating birthday?
https://t.co/cwpKcHo4GZ so be it if it takes the erratic ‘world’ president to wake @officialABAT up from his slumber. Now @femigbaja is bringing out d ambassadors list that he was incubating in his Surulere home. The president now taking citizens safety seriously.
