๐น๐ฉ๐ผโ๏ธ๐นDaughter of the One, true King! Imperfect follower of Jesus Christ. Widow ร DM's Retweeting conversations for "gotcha moments" will be auto-blocked.
@atgeo@farmingandJesus@fugenjoban Oh yes it does. Biblical Christianity is defined as a faith system that bases its doctrines, teachings, and practices entirely on the inspired Word of God. If teachings are not scripturally verified, it's not biblical.
@NappNazworth@Franklin_Graham@McDonalds To lose weight. That doesn't mean he was going to stay vegan the rest of his life. ๐People go on many different diets to try to lose weight...and they go off of them just as fast!
@johncguy1@farmingandJesus You believe the physical "substance" of a wafer transforms into the literal Body of Christ, while the outward physical properties (taste, texture) remain bread, yet it's impossible for Jesus to inhabit a sinful human? Well, I'll be...so not everything is possible with God?
@Halo3Groyper@Nick126792@LizzieMarbach Ok so where else does the Orthodox church teach you to find the teachings that are sufficient to equip believers for all good works?
Do you even understand what Sola Scripture is?
@SandiHansen19@KeithNester1@farmingandJesus Hebrews 10: 9ย Then he said, โHere I am, I have come to do your will.โ He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10ย And by that will, WE HAVE BEEN MADE HOLY THROUGH THE SACRIFICE of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE FOR ALL.
@SandiHansen19@KeithNester1@farmingandJesus Hebrews 4:16: "Let us then approach Godโs throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
@AScottCoach@KeithNester1@farmingandJesus asked if they too were going to leave, Peter said, To whom shall we go...you have the WORDS of eternal life. He didn't say you have the flesh and blood. "John 6:47: "Truly, truly, I tell you, he who believes has eternal life".
@AScottCoach@KeithNester1@farmingandJesus Jesus left certain sayings unexplained and this selective clarity was intentional; it acted as a filter to reveal deeper spiritual truths to those who were receptive, while concealing meanings from those who were hostile or not yet ready to listen...when the disciples were...
@Halo3Groyper@Nick126792@LizzieMarbach Thanks for your opinion. Where else to you find the teachings that are sufficient to equip believers for all good works? The Catechism, created by Catholicism? ๐๐๐
@AScottCoach@KeithNester1@farmingandJesus The Jews who left, believed what you think He was teaching. Jesus asking them to eat his flesh, drink his blood, which was against their religion! They did not believe He was speaking SPIRITUALLY...just like you.
@Halo3Groyper@Nick126792@LizzieMarbach Sure Paul was speaking of the OT Scriptures, however, Paul's letter were being written and being read in the churches he planted at the time, "dummy".
@AScottCoach@KeithNester1@farmingandJesus We are to remember His sacrifice for us by eating bread and drinking wine, exactly the way they did at Passover.
Bread: Represents His sinless body, which was broken for us.
Wine: Represents His blood, which was poured out to establish the New Covenant and forgive our sins.
@Halo3Groyper@Nick126792@LizzieMarbach So you believe when the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write scripture, that it wouldn't include the other authors who were inspired to write NT scripture as well?
@Nick126792@LizzieMarbach 2 Timothy 3:16-17 teaches that Scripture is sufficient to equip believers for all good works. What about "sufficient" is not enough for you?
@AScottCoach@KeithNester1@farmingandJesus He never told you to pretend that bread and wine turn into literal flesh and blood, which isn't flesh and blood because..."accidents" cause wafers to taste like wafers.
