@sainsburys Noted, thanks. And I can avoid parking fees in future by going to nearby @Tesco, @asda or @Waitrose.
Related question: how much do you think I spend in Sainsbury’s each week and do you think it worth losing that over a £70 fine? Asking for a friend doing a Business 101 course.
@sainsburys I parked in your always-empty massive car park in Eddington, visited a friend and did a load of shopping. Now you slap me with a £70 parking fine??? Can you reverse this because I’m pretty resentful of being fined for shopping in your store…
@psycopg I store spatial data (eg elevation) using h3 indexing. We use bigquery presently, and map straight to a dataframe. But being able to add relations (like a pointer to the next cells in the tree) would be 🎉🎉🪩
Hi @useMotion - I've been enjoying the app so far, but have scheduled a meeting and now it thinks I can do two things at once. How do I trigger a re-schedule?
@simon_on_energy I think the view is that a lot of the product benefits might be less tangible than looking directly at the curve (quick uninformed comparison). You’d then have wacky races on your power curve shape to compete.
I don’t necessarily agree, but its at least a rationale.
Happy International Women’s Day, all. Other than personally wishing well some of the women who inspire and mentor me, like @AdelinaChalmers and @ValeriaCortezVD, here’s a great contribution to the day: a bullshit-o-meter. God I love programmers sometimes: https://t.co/Vtixdhx6nJ
@Marie_LSJ @kruy Just saw this old tweet... documentation should be updated with code and continuously built/deployed to match as part of an automated workflow. We use sphinx, eg https://t.co/OLSfSZ61oo
Also: read a bit about "self-documenting code": docs should be at a more conceptual level.
It's getting even worse. @toptal have decided that I'm a developer whatever email address I use, and won't let me see anyone for hiring. Being a freelancer apparently is totally orthogonal to hiring people!
Now up to 45 minutes just trying to see some search results...
Pretty poor show from @toptal today. Trying to find someone to hire, but there's an infinite loop in their site login process that just shows me this, whatever I do.
Maybe you should get some of your "Top Tal" to think through the basic auth flow for your app...
Scientists so often understate their achievements in the press…
This team cured 24/24 people of Long Covid within 4 weeks, but you wouldn’t know it from the article!
Stand up and be counted, folks!! https://t.co/dw3ck2MLv9
@JeremyClarkson hydroponics and aeroponics can be done at farm scale and makes growing a crop totally immune to weather difficulties… complete control.
So why aren’t farmers doing it?
Would love to see you try it out!
@zombodb@googlecloud@Elasticsearch Thanks @zombodb - I'm lobbying some managed db providers to add you as an extension, not sure how far I'll get. Have you any interest in providing a GCP marketplace service or similar? If so let's chat, might be an extra revenue stream for you.
Does anyone know of a managed #PostgreSQL solution / provider (preferably cloud native for @googlecloud / #Kubernetes ) which will support the @ZomboDB extension so I can tightly couple @Elasticsearch ?
I'm not ready to maintain my own database yet, but NEED that extension!
@MadeWhatnow@tobbelobb@MadeWhatnow I have some old camera calibration code from my phd that you could have if you want to calculate that. Maylab based (sigh) but convertible to python if you need
Damnit @Adobe I pay a fortune for Illustrator.
MUST YOU force me through 10 minutes of your bloody clunky login absolutely EVERY DAMN TIME I open the app?
Sort it out, the universe doesn’t revolve around your login.
