Your prefrontal cortex checked out around pint 4. By number 9, your blood alcohol is somewhere around 0.18 to 0.22%, which means your cerebellum is essentially offline. Motor planning, spatial awareness, balance: all severely degraded.

Each pint floods your nucleus accumbens with dopamine. The first two glasses spike it 40-80% above baseline. By glass five, your dopamine receptors have already started downregulating, so you’re chasing a feeling your neurochemistry physically cannot reproduce for the rest of the night. VAT isn't paid at the border. That's a tariff. VAT is paid at the point of sale on certain types of goods, regardless of where they're made, Germany or the US or whereever. It's no different to the sales tax charges in the US.

Here’s how VAT works in a way that disadvantages U.S. businesses:
•When American manufacturers export goods to countries like Germany, they have to pay Germany’s 19% VAT at the border, making U.S. products more expensive for German consumers.
•Meanwhile, when German manufacturers export to the U.S., they get a 19% VAT refund from their government AND don’t face an equivalent tax when their goods enter the U.S.
•That means American goods are taxed in Germany, but German goods aren’t taxed the same way in the U.S., making it harder for American businesses to compete.

It’s not technically a tariff, but it functions like one—creating an unfair advantage for foreign producers. This is why Trump is saying he won’t ignore it anymore.

Alright, little Jo, let me tell you a story about how Trump’s tariffs worked.

Once upon a time, there was a leader named Trump. He cared about his country, America, and wanted to make sure all the people in his land could work and be happy. But, there was a problem, other countries were sending things to America and making a lot of money, while America wasn’t getting enough back in return.

So, Trump decided to put a special rule on things coming from other lands. It was called a 'tariff', think of it like a little extra cost that other countries had to pay to send their goods to America. This meant the things from other countries could get a little more expensive.
