Tremendous work by @JoseAlbertoLpez@EnricSoriano__ over the past few seasons- that’s been wonderful to document

From all the 48 World Cup teams I’ve been watching, Saudi Arabia has been the biggest surprise.
Their relational style stands out, with combinations in very short distances and constant connections around the ball.
63 UK academy coaches surveyed on perceptual-cognitive skills:
– 100% agree it's fundamental to player development
– 3% are familiar with it in practice
– 63% have had zero PCS-specific education
– 92% feel confident enough to identify it
Those numbers are in direct conflict.

Once, developing leagues would sign marquee veterans on huge wages to boost their international profile. Today, more and more are seeing value in another route: developing and nurturing young talent to be sold, at profit, to more competitive leagues.
The fashion has spread in particular throughout members of the Asian Football Confederation, where top Japanese and Korean clubs have realised any short-term losses are more than offset by the long-term sustainable growth provided by selling generations of quality to Europe. Now, teenagers are flooding one of the Confederation’s oft-forgotten members: Australia’s A-League.
@JakeEntwistle has used @SkillCorner data to pick out the interesting and exciting Men's A-League prospects that could be moving to bigger and better things before you know it.

Ecological Football- not just to know more (knowledge about) but to know better (knowledge of). Young players should be active agents in their learning, not just passive executors of pre-defined responses or mere receivers of knowledge.

@NKCelje formation structure;
📌Against the ball; 4-3-3
📌With the ball; 3-2-2-3
▫️LB position inside playing as a double 6 ➡️benefit of this is it makes Celje more protected against transitions
▫️Wingers pin width & depth
📌8s overloading role;
▫️Ball-oriented overloads ➡️
providing short distances, diagonality & connections
▫️Wide zone overload ➡️ positions wide to create 2v1 against opponent + drag midfielders out of position to open passes in the centre
England's Generation Next.
Some of the best English prospects born between 2005 and 2010.
While it’s often said that English youngsters tend to be overrated, and in certain cases that criticism is fair, this generation is simply outstanding. 🏴
