Same can be said for development.

AI has lowered the floor but certainly not raised it.
Everyone can design and code but can they solve the business problem? Can they come up with why and what before how?
Thats where expertise lies.

For similar problem, yes similar design might work but the new agentic patterns which designers are unleasing at top labs wont be generated just by copying because they dont exist yet.

Prompts will never generate shopify winter or summer edition.

The why and what is still designers moat.

I am sorry but whoever wins the tender with lowest bidding will need to pay 5% to cmo, 5% to engineer to approve. Then when payment comes, cmo will again take 1-5% cut to pay or else will say no budget to pay and will delay it for years untill bidder agrees to pay.

This is very common in all civic tender.
