In Mazabuka the Cane Levy has been 30 Ngwee per tonne since 1986. In 2024 the council proposed to have it increased to K100. It was rejected. They came back with K10 Zambia sugar rejected. They settled at K2. Apart from voting No to Bill 7. What did he do to help?
If you need a huge salary to stop you from being corrupt, it means you are inherently corrupt in the first place. There is always a huge offer, it all comes back to personal integrity and respect for the republic. If your salary is above the cost of living do your job. Period!
Southern Africans have always been cool with each other as neighbors. We really should not change this bcos of a few clueless people having access to the internet.
History shows us that Zim and Malawi are probably our closest allies pre and post colonialism. Don't forget it.
Without Tanzania there’s a diesel shortage and a rice shortage, also no car imports from Japan… you have to realize they are our friend and we need them
Please let’s stop this nonsense of demonizing Nshima. You guys eat all sorts of unhealthy foods that make you gain weight and blame it all on Nshima.
Let’s talk about the fatty foodstakeaways, beers, fritters, sugar tea coffees, juices, breads you take prior to eating Nshima.
Why do we think like this politically? That’s why even our leaders aren’t evolving. Constantly forgetting crimes and atrocities and thinking that 6 past presidents stop being bad because the current one is also showing flames is so off. There’s room for everyone to be awful.
@Subiilo When I see such tweets I can tell someone never really had to deal with the thugs of PF. They just used to read about them. Cadres were literally above the law, women and children were getting beaten for wearing red. personally I would never want to go back to that.
@Subiilo I just feel like just because things are bad we shouldn’t say those evil people were better. Those people were sick and selfish and didn’t gaf about human life or suffering. Any kid on the street could mistreat you. And this before we even reach the govt crimes.
Sometimes like today,I get burnt out and I want to complain but then I remember that I'm living in an answered prayer and I'm so grateful that God gave me exactly what I asked for and more.
@Malik_ZMB@DMK_LSK You can mis-label me any how you want. But ask yourself if you're not burying your head in the sand from the real issue of failing to make real investments in the Agric sector for the past 60yrs which would have made Zambia self sufficient in the midst of any adversity.
I’m not trying to decampaign, but ask anyone you know from Mazabuka if they would vote for GN as president that should give you an idea. He’s been MP for Mazabuka for 19 years and very little has changed in that place that GN can point at and say I helped do that.
Mr.Nkombo’s dismissal has sparked discussions about how he could potentially win an election if he stood. Mind you, he wasn’t a great Minister prior to his dismissal. I fear we may vote the same way we did in 2021- a desperate attempt to get rid of the ruling party at all costs.
Mwisho, I know you are buying bread at K25 and the new acrow bridges cost K7.8 million.
But whatever the case, please do not vote for Dr. Fred Mmembe and his retinue of socialist candidates in 2026.
In 2022, I once met Dr. Mmembe and I instantly judged a book by its cover.
Now, since you are already misinformed enough to vote for Dr. Mmembe's dangerous and toxic brand of socialism, I suggest you better use your time and effort instead to volunteer unblocking drainages in Mufulira on voting day.
