@JRobbo@TrueFactsStated lol, for sure… that’s worked in the past, right? but I suspect the likelihood is almost all of us are going to feel noticeably poorer in the near future as persistent high energy prices work their way through the economy.
BREAKING: Iran has completely ruled out any future negotiations with the Trump administration, declaring it will wait out Donald Trump's term until January 20, 2029, per Iranian outlets and Ghalibaf advisor's post.
"Trump will not reach an agreement with us. We will accompany him until his term ends," said Majid Shakeri, advisor to Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf.
He posted: "The path to victory is neither fighting nor a deal — it is managing the process of neither war nor peace, up to the point of victory. Publicly confirming negotiations with the U.S. is sheer folly. The winning approach is denial, ambiguity, and strategic patience."
Iran's conditions remain unchanged: $300 billion in compensation, release of frozen assets, and withdrawal of U.S. forces. Until then, the Strait stays closed.
ARM THE IRANIAN PEOPLE!
I have been arguing for arming the Iranian people since the beginning of the war with the Iranian regime. It is now widely understood and supported by a growing number of people. It is absolutely necessary if we are to defeat the Iranian regime. The question is whether that is our objective. It appears not, at least not now. The emphasis is on making a deal for a variety of familiar and oft-repeated reasons.

@EdKrassen “don’t ever talk again” says our commander-in-chief. how does that attitude support our country, constitution, and democracy? cancer should be removed
@TrumpDailyPosts Statements labeling tens of millions of voters as enemies or mentally ill are not evidence of leadership strength. They are a standard base-mobilization tactic that works by heightening anger and in-group loyalty.
@krassenstein according to NY Times, that’s an accurate description - a fifth amendment violation (if that matters to “law and order” people): https://t.co/tNekF03Oua

@RachelBitecofer and isn’t it illegal discrimination to advocate HRT for only one group (CIS males)? What about lesbians in the military that want more T?
Trump administration fixing Puerto Rico before attacking Cuba (which has similar if not more intractable problems) sounds like a constructive idea. What are the chances of that happening?
UPDATE:
Puerto Rico's unelected oversight board just sent out a settlement proposal so far below what the courts have said bondholders are owed that it effectively guarantees the longest municipal bankruptcy in American history will roll on.
For those who haven't been following my reporting on this, PREPA is Puerto Rico's government-owned power company and the Federal Oversight and Management Board (FOMB) is the unelected board that Congress put in charge of running their finances and debt.
We're now heading into the TENTH YEAR of this bankruptcy, and the FOMB just dropped a new lowball offer to bondholders (less than 25 cents on the dollar). They knew it was dead on arrival and ignored court rulings, but they put it out anyway so they could run to the Court and President Trump pretending like they're trying to fix this. It's pure political theater while Puerto Ricans keep suffering through blackouts and barely have any stable electricity.

This has turned into a total gold rush for lawyers and consultants. As I previously reported, the board has already blown through over $2 BILLION on high-priced attorneys and consultants — more than five times what Congress originally estimated.
But it’s important to understand who is actually writing those checks.
It isn't Congress. It isn't Wall Street. It's the retiree in Puerto Rico who keeps her AC off in August because she's scared of the bill. It's the family in Puerto Rico replacing a fridge full of groceries for the third time this year after another outage. It's the barber in Puerto Rico burning diesel in a generator just to keep the lights on. Spread $2 billion across PREPA's roughly 1.4 million customers, and that's about $1,400 a household, in a place where the median household income per year is around $25,000 and nearly 40% of the people live in poverty.
These families are financing partner-level billable rates that run north of $1,500 an HOUR! That's more than some of these households bring in after 2 weeks of work...
That money is coming straight out of the pockets of the poorest Puerto Ricans, while $12+ billion in federal funding sits unused because the FOMB refuses to let PREPA exit bankruptcy.
This is straight-up USAID 2.0!
Another total scam where connected insiders get rich while the people of Puerto Rico pay the price.
This is why the bankruptcy never ends! As long as the meter is running on these massive legal and consulting fees, there's zero incentive to actually fix anything. Puerto Ricans are left sitting in the dark while the lawyers keep padding their pockets.
This issue is also a political winner for Republicans to take on. A recent poll of Puerto Ricans in Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania found that half of them would be MORE likely to support Republicans if President Trump @POTUS and congressional Republicans actually fix the power grid. 93% of the people polled said the head of the FOMB should absolutely be fired. Republicans have a real shot to win these voters over by cleaning up this disaster.

President Trump has the power to end this for good, and in the process win over more voters for Republicans heading into the 2026 midterms. This has gone on for way too long…
I'm going to keep following the money and exposing these bad actors. If you have more details on who's still profiting off of Puerto Rico's suffering, send it to me on the Loomered Tip Line!

Other than legal accountability the best way to punish the Republican Party for the Trump Era would be to put tax rates back to the pre-Reagan era.
Just send a giant fuck you to our corporate overlords and their political cult.
🚨 Here is the full 53 minutes of my crew and I exposing New York fraud, we uncovered over $190,000,000 in fraud as these fraudsters use the elderly and needy to commit fraud through adult and personal home care scams in NYC. Your tax dollars are paying for elderly Koreans and Chinese to play ping pong and do tai chi, while the fraudsters give $ kickbacks to those who enroll. Like it and share this video, the fraud must STOP.
We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for fraudsters to steal from our pockets. These fraudsters have been able to defraud American taxpayers for years without any pushback from the public and politicians. Time is up.
EXPOSE IT ALL AND END THE FRAUD.
good for California! it’s about time we clawed back some of that federal money we’re shelling out to the IRS. if businesses don’t like it they can leave and make room for the Californians willing to pay for Paradise…
🚨 Let's explain this $22 BILLION thing simply:
During COVID, California borrowed a ton of money from the federal Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund to pay out benefits.
A lot of states did this when the economy shut down and claims exploded (plus there was massive fraud).
Most states have since paid it back.
California?
It still owes about $22 billion, and it's the only state that hasn't repaid its federal loan.
Here's why it matters to regular folks:
Because California hasn't paid the loan back on time, federal law automatically makes California businesses pay higher federal unemployment taxes every year to cover it.
Employers there have already been hit with billions extra in taxes.
That money comes out of their pockets, which means higher costs, potential layoffs, or businesses struggling or leaving the state.
The federal UI Trust Fund is backed by American workers' taxes from all across the country.
So in a real sense, yes, California under Gavin Newsom is in debt to the American people.
Newsom's administration had big federal COVID relief money and even budget surpluses at times.
They chose to spend it on other things instead of clearing this debt.
Now the interest keeps growing, and California small businesses & workers are stuck "holding the bag."
The Trump Labor Department is calling it out: That bill has to be paid.
Accountability is finally being demanded.
This isn't abstract "politics."
It's real money taken from job creators in one state because politicians there kicked the can down the road for years.
Other states handled their business and paid up.
Why should California get a permanent pass?
250 years ago, this country was founded on a radical idea that government answers to the people.
Today, that idea is under attack by a man who embodies the very tyranny our Founders rejected.
Let's honor the promise of America by defending our democracy.
Ronald Reagan: “You can go to live in France, but you cannot become a Frenchman…But Anyone, from any corner of the Earth, can come to live in America and become an American…This, I believe, is one of the most important sources of America's greatness.”🇺🇸
