Starting yesterday evening, AWS customers can recover their EC2 Instances affected by the CrowdStrike event at scale and in a fully automated way.
If you're still stuck and running on AWS, you should try it!

@MichaelCade1@paulsanders87 I think Overclockers have a shop in Stoke. Remember visiting that place a bunch of times back in the day. Think it's probably in different place now though.
@ccykwong25952@MikeyCycling@SimonMDLord Indeed, the level of risk involved in cycling in UK vs Netherlands or Denmark is significantly higher. And the OECD where those stats come from, say "The use of a helmet is proven to reduce the severity of head injuries of cyclists in the event of some crashes.
@MikeyCycling@SimonMDLord Curious to where these stats are from. Do they take into account that a pretty large number of cyclists do chose to wear helmets, and as such, could be bringing that risk factor down by doing so?
@MikeyCycling@BexSiobhanE @Fast_Flump72 @GordonRamsay@lmhospital But this only looks at deaths, and not serious head injuries. There are studies that support this, and there are helmet standards like MIPS that are designed to reduce the risk of concussions:

@MikeyCycling @Fast_Flump72 @GordonRamsay@lmhospital Indeed, I agree they are not effective in collisions with cars, but are very effective when you come off on ice, or hit a huge pothole and smash your head on the tarmac. While these types of accident might not kill you, they can lead to serious brain injuries, so why not wear one
@MichaelCade1@vtimd@cody_bunch I was going to say, at least it's not Nescafe instant, but looking at this picture, I think that might have been a better option 🤮
Achievement unlocked, completed a Marathon. As you might expect, my legs are hurting. Looking after my 9 month daughter all day tomorrow could be, interesting...
@singhcredible Struggling with this right now. Training for my first marathon, but started getting knee pain on a 16 miler on Sunday. Ran last night, flared up again, really wanted to go tonight, time for a rest maybe...
@MichaelCade1@urlichsanais If you don't do many miles, they are honestly brilliant. We've got one that will do 320 miles, but done a journey needing that distance once in the year we've had it. The main adjustment is thinking ahead to the next day, to ensure you have enough range for your plans.
Training starts tomorrow for the Manchester marathon in April. Gonna be tough to try and stick to the plan with 2 kids, one of which is under 1. Early start tomorrow with 6 miles recovery.
