@Metra Metra Police vehicle illegally parked during rush hour (5:20 p.m. today) NB on Halsted Street (1 N.) in front of Whole Foods grocery store, blocking bikes and buses. No Metra facility in immediate vicinity.
@Amtrak Based on my continuing bad experience with Amtrak’s Lincoln Service I am canceling a trip on the California Zephyr, a line whose on-time record is even worse. People say we elected a fascist, but still the trains don’t run on time—or even close. Geez. 😂 Thanks for your response.
Thread on new @Metroplanners post on the poor prospects for @RTA_Chicago proposed transit reform package found on my BSky page. https://t.co/hFVhZYuX7A
It's been suggested that because @Metra commuter rail riders pay higher fares than @CTA riders, suburban transit users pay more than their fair share of the cost of their public transit trips. This suggestion is not supported by the facts. @RTA_Chicago https://t.co/fLnKJcDDCJ
@ChicagoElection Every early voting spot we’ve checked over last two days has had block-long lines. Especially not great with a family member who uses a walker and can’t stand for long periods. You’re feeding “stop the steal” type of narratives w/this level of inadequate staffing and locations.
As public transit continues to be a cornerstone of our communities, it is imperative that we have discussions about the current state of transit across Illinois as a whole. Today, we were able to hear from panelists (1/2)
At least @rta_chicago is beginning—very tentatively—to flex its current authority under the RTA Act to dedicate lanes on any roadway in the region for bus service. #NDLSD#Chicago/Halsted
Los Angeles doing more for transit priority than Chicago 🤬
Chicago is really falling behind when it comes to progressive transportation policy and action.
