As the 2025 Gumball 3000 rally made its way from Istanbul to Ibiza this September, it stopped in Romania and met young people from Basketball Leben - the recipient of this year's grant.

Since teaming up with Laureus Sport for Good in 2019, the Gumball 3000 Foundation has donated over EUR 500,000 to support Laureus Sport for Good’s work across the globe.

Basketball Leben is a programme that supports young people from Bögöz and its surrounding villages. The programme gives them the opportunity to enjoy playing sports together and in doing so, learn valuable life skills and develop their self confidence.

“The basketball court is a sanctuary, a place where they can momentarily escape the pressures of their daily lives and simply be children.”

[Laureus Sport for Good @LaureusS4G]

An incredible group of individuals are taking on the Snowman Trek in support of Laureus Sport for Good.

The Trek is a 300km journey across the Bhutanese Himalayas and is widely regarded as one of the toughest high-altitude treks in the world. The team are challenging their own limits and at the same time, fundraising to help transform the lives of young people around the world through the power of sport.

The participants are now halfway through the Trek, having covered a distance of 89 miles and endured one of their toughest days on the route from Robluthang to Camp Lemithang, via Sinche Le which was their first 5000m pass.
