@swrightCO I couldn't see anything from my basement window, deck obscured the view and rain did the rest. I was on the treadmill watching tv and flipping between local coverage. I figure if my heart rate is going to be elevated I might as well get some exercise out of it
@FeitCanWrite That's nefarious. I feel less bad about the soccer tournament I'm at this weekend. I could at least drive through and eat like Culver's outside watching the game when it's 70 and sunny
@efino87 I'd have traded you the threat of multi inch hail stones around here for some pretty snow. I could see the green up in the clouds when I cancelled soccer practice
@VicVijayakumar An option to reset is a move to manager track 1-3 yrs. If you like it, great. Now have a new path, skills to learn, interesting projects. If you don't, you can find a "demotion" at your old role level and probably not as bad a hit since mngr skills are appealing in engr roles.
@efino87 Leaving Nebraska was one of the hardest decisions younger me had to make years ago. But I learned a great lesson. If I invested time and effort into my community, no matter where I was, it paid off in joy and a feeling of belonging in the long run.
Dad called. "IT question" he says.
"Yes this is the IT department how can I help you today?" I said.
He says he needs help transferring apps from one ipad to another.
I'm like, Dad you only have 1 ipad.
He said no. No time to explain. We need to act fast.

@efino87 My wife (then fiance) and I made the choice in 2004 when we graduated from UNL to move where one of us found a job first in the Midwest, preferably KC or Omaha (that's where family was). KC won out, just more opportunities. That was a while ago, but I'm happy with the choice.
@efino87 Omaha October surprise snowstorm, dad and I went out to try and clear a path on the road leaving our neighborhood and a tree trunk a couple feet around dropped in the space exactly in between us. We both thought the other got hit. Moved it and went home after that.
