@atitaarora@jobergum@dainius_jocas@kaessmannt Just watched your talk!
I definitely see the intersection in terms of the use case and the POC & test approach.
Seems like we had some similar learnings / ideas. :)
The barcamp yesterday at @berlinbuzzwords was really fun!
The space was really welcoming towards new speakers and exchange between attendees.
If you ever plan to visit, I can only recommend to also go to the barcamp! :)
Thanks Jo, for sharing some slides from my talk!
Amazing talk from @tomglk_ on using @vespaengine at https://t.co/CimiW58Gqy. At @berlinbuzzwords barcamp. Nice concrete examples of tensor compute for feature engineering.
@dean_oooooooo @jobergum@vespaengine@berlinbuzzwords No, the barcamp was not recorded. But if there is demand, I can look to find another way to share it. :)
@jobergum Our fast progress was only possible because of the amazing documentation and examples. :)
(And the vespa command line tools, they are fantastic!)
So thanks also to you and all the writers for providing that.
@spinscale Great plan for topics to cover. They all seem worth a read! I am especially interested in the catering for typos part, how to find the best corrected match. I would love some words about performance there.
@thetaph1 I completely agree! Last year I did a deep dive from the silicon seed crystal up to the call stack. That journey covered all the fun (drawing wiring, TLB, page tableโฆ). I would have loved a course about that. It just enables you to envision what happens while running a program.
Amazing how fast this years talks from @berlinbuzzwords went online on YouTube! Canโt wait to revisit some talks and catch up on the missed ones. First ever conference and the experience was amazing. โค๏ธ A recap:
Looking forward to visit more conferences and hopefully @berlinbuzzwords again next year! I can only recommend the experience. Meeting the speakers in person and being able to give direct feedback made a huge difference compared to the last year.
All in all it was a very welcoming atmosphere. Everyone I met was approachable and open to share ideas and discuss talks, ideas and learnings. It sparked a lot of new ideas and motivation to learn more about all the technologies people presented.
