Looking forward to the @MeSHConsortium symposium at spectacular Vic Falls on using routine data to address inequalities that drive the HIV epidemic. What a treat to be welcomed by a herd of warthogs. Huge thanks to the amazing Kat Granger for her impeccable organisation.
Queer data from @census2021 just dropped:
➡️ 3.2% identify as LGB+ 🏳️🌈
➡️ 0.5% are trans or non binary 🏳️⚧️
But there are missing data - 7.5% did not respond to sexual orientation question, meaning just 89.4% identified as heterosexual. As a queer statto, some early reflections ⬇️
Tried to create a relaxing atmosphere in my statistics practical today by putting on a YouTube fireplace video but there are about 8 large screens on the walls in the room so instead it looked like we were all in hell
