@WherePolitics Can Tessa explain her views on the royal family? She has said many times that she is a monarchist, but I think it would be fair to say that her commentary on the royals throughout the life of the pod could give someone distinctly the opposite impression!
@Peety_Editor@DreamsR4Real999 I agree, I’m criticising the WBC, not Usyk (though he could sling the belt and keep his 3%, rather than letting them legitimise it as a title fight). I almost believe Turki is paying the WBC to sabotage themselves at this point
@Peety_Editor@DreamsR4Real999 Kabayel has earned the right, surely? Though I agree Usyk can do what he wants (he should max out his earnings now, legacy is already sorted) - just think he should vacate the belt or, at the very least, for it not to be on the line in this fight
I am half convinced that @Turki_alalshikh is paying @wbcmoro to undermine the credibility of @WBCBoxing and the wider sanctioning system. How on earth can this be a heavyweight title fight?! Usyk can do whatever he wants (get that cash!) but no belt should be at stake here
@ConorNigel to @Zuffa_Boxing? A reminder for @EddieHearn that there’s no such thing as loyalty in #boxing?! Could be something to remember the next time someone pops hot… Eddie took a load of hits (deservedly) and now has been cast aside
#OpetaiaGlanton for the first @Zuffa_Boxing belt is such weak matchmaking. Nothing different or radical about that - certainly not shaking the status quo. If any other promoter had a title fight with that kind of match up, @danawhite would be the first to mock it
If @naoyainoue_410 fights Nakatani, Bam and Ball this year, surely that would go down in history as a sensational run (especially on the back of 2025!)
@nakisa_bidarian Wow, the level of attempted spin here is hilarious. All the big words beforehand. Can’t now claim making AJ miss is somehow an achievement. Neither was running away for 6 rounds. An amateur boxer could have been disqualified for that performance for refusal to engage
@OlivieriLaw I’m sure the WBO didn’t intend to damage the sport (I’m sure - for the most part - intentions have been good). But the current four belt system is nonsense. That and a lack of a unified scoring system are harming boxing. The current set up works for you - but not for the fans
