most X advice tells you replies are how you get discovered.

the code says replies from accounts the viewer doesn't follow are filtered out of For You before ranking even happens. they reach the thread and nobody else.

so replies aren't distribution. they're how you acquire mutuals. and a mutual is what takes your originals from reply weight 5.0 to 20.0 in their feed.

reply to acquire. post to reach.
