@TheMekon_Venus Not quite an enhancement but still crazy that Marlboro could get away with this back then on a family film. Louis Lane was contracted to smoke them all through the movie too.
@RetroTechDreams I worked for Virgin Mobile at the time. It was an AWFUL phone. But the tech was interesting. Used the DAB Radio network to carry the TV channels if I remember correctly. Only lasted a couple of years before the whole thing was shut down.
@Docquistador Only outside the United States? What makes your 249 year old country so superior on fairground ride safety standards in comparison to every single other country in the world?
@teslapiggy1@Airaxora I know people that exceed 10,000 steps a day, do a full 2 hours at the gym 3 times a week, stay within their recommended calories and still struggle. We are all different and assuming 10,000 steps is all it takes because that's all you needed to do is over simplifying it.
@TheExtremeMusi1 Why do the much older guys in these types of relationship coincidentally happen to have a f-ck ton of money? Got to be some kind of connection there but I'll be damned if I know what it is.
@RobertDaleSmith No, I've watched plenty of VCDs but I understand that CDI had a proprietary format that was marginally better (I stress the marginally part)
@AbakpaJob British person here. I actually said Carribbean the 'American way' in front of my wife in private once and she's never let me forget it. I felt ashamed.
@elonmusk I've had an idea based on your post. Could you implement correct time for all users on X based on their location. Perhaps with a key 'Localtime=0530'? So for instance here in Cyprus where I'm 8 hours ahead it would show as 13:30.
@JEV1A@Rainmaker1973 There was only one fatal Concorde crash during its 27 years of operation. And that crash was caused by debris on the runway when the plane took off. It was one of the safest and to date fastest commercial airliner ever to fly.
@Lulamaybelle Bon Voyage Charlie Brown was a favourite of mine growing up. Later on him and Woodstock go to a bar and get pissed up on root beer (this actually happens).
@myretrolifeshow I was doing a GNVQ in IT at Henley College in 1997-98 and I remember us running NESticle off a 3.5" floppy with a Super Mario Bros rom on some shitty RM Nimbus network PCs running Windows 3.1 for Workgroups. I'm sure they were probably 286, perhaps 386. It was mindblowing.
Theatre and literature have always evolved through reinterpretation. Iβve seen Shakespeare staged across cultures, eras, and ethnicities without losing the essence of the work. A casting choice doesnβt erase Homer any more than diverse Shakespeare casts erased Shakespeare.
