Don’t just attend today’s service
Act on the word !

The local church is a calling.
the term “church “is from a word which includes to be called and to have a vocation .
It means you have a purpose to fulfill
God to serve .
And men to be available for in doing this .
A local church exists via the generosity and service of its membership.

They give themselves in service .

Paul commended Macedonia for such exemplary conduct.

Today be “Macedonian “

It means set today’s service and meeting as priority .
Pray for the service .
Get in early .
Help others to church .
Help others during the meeting by serving in any of units and departments .

GIVE materially

I mean an offering, money !Qualitatively and Quantitatively .

During the service,don’t hinder others with your phone or distract them with your movements when the word is being taught and prayer offered.

Also after the meeting, endeavor not to “dash out “like you leave a cinema.

Wait again to serve .

So today

Have a proper church service and serve and not just attend like a show !

You have a spirit filled service today

Do a honest assessment of your walk and work in there

Scripture teaches that we judge ourselves first

Look around the service and church meeting

And examine your contributions in the local church

Firstly,How many people came to christ,the local church or that particular meeting through you

Secondly,what can you see around which has your contribution in it, whether materially or effort

Furthermore,what have you left undone in the church

Paul teaches the Local church like the human body,where every part supplies to the functioning of the whole body

Obviously a non functioning part which receives only but doesn't supply to any is a diseased part

Choose to stop being this part

Play your role and start today

Don't just feel bad about it then procrastinate again

Do it today!

Don’t forget,your pastor needs more prayers than every other person,pray for him or her

Other ministers and servants in the local church too

Pray the pauline prayers for yourself

Are you ready for church?

Call up someone or pick up for church

Don't forget your offering, don't drop a "tip" in the service

Give qualitatively and Quantitatively

Any pledges to redeem and for children's church

Get in early,punctuality is spirituality

This week I Pray for you my friends,

That you walk in God's purpose and plan.
Your heart recieves His counsel, your understanding is open to be adjusted to and submerged into His.

Your health recieves His touch, that you are healed and strengthened and your vigor doubles up to fulfill every and any noble task this week.
No disease reaches you or overwhelms you as
You are kept By His power.amen.

That you serve the local church effectively.
No strife has room via you and your mind.
You are effective in carrying out the vision of your local church,
And you are a major reason for unity and not division. Amen.

Your needs are met and bills paid.
Men are raised to help you and assist you.
Amen.

This week you toil by Grace to receive a harvest of souls.
In tens and hundreds, men and women, young and old give heed as you herald His word.
They recieve and follow Christ too.

Zoom church is not Church,” responded MacArthur. “It’s not Church. It’s watching TV. There’s nothing about that that fulfills the biblical definition of coming together, stimulating one another to love and good works, coming together.”

“The definition of a Church is crystal clear in the New Testament. We see the picture of it. They came together the first day of the week. They worshiped the Lord, they prayed. … It was fellowship and it was the breaking of bread in the Lord’s supper.”

MacArthur stated that Church involves “coming together” and that “it doesn’t even function unless people” are “mutually using their spiritual gifts for one another.”

“We are only the Church when we are together,” he continued. “The Church is the Church when it corporately worships, when it corporately prays, when it corporately hears preaching of the Word of God.”

He contrasted the concept of Church with “parachurch,” seeing that as an aid to the Church. The pastor cited his Grace to You broadcast as an example of a parachurch ministry that should not take the place of corporate worship.

Yesterday , we closed the Annual Fortress Mission Campmeeting ( since 2002) (SW zone)

Fortress Missions is a ministry within saints community church dedicated to reaching ,teaching , discipling and training youths across majorly secondary schools and school leavers ,in the gospel of Jesus and the ministry of the word .

All pastors and leaders went through this ministry

This week was its Campmeeting

A tradition I(we) received from my mentor and nurturer at dawn pastor Sola Oladele

We follow all we learnt decades ago under his watch

Group meetings, prayer meetings, bible studies ,outreaches ,ministry training

No entertainment or games

Just the ministry of the word and spirit

We haven’t changed the standard

This was the Southwest Zonal Campmeeting

We also hold Northern and South Eastern/ south zonal Campmeetings ( this will happen in a few weeks)

Most attendees are believers we have been training for months and years through their schools

They eventually get into colleges and universities and in the same spirit

Many are into ministry today in local churches

I want to appreciate the leadership of this ministry

I only feature once (just the closing session)and all other sessions and ministries are carried out by members of this ministry

Infact all pastors and leaders often just assist at the background

They have their own structure
