@Protestia I agree with the need for more time for questions, but there are not “hours and hours” during the two days. That happens in the pastors conference the two days preceding the business. There is only one “convention sermon” and the president’s address.
Have to give a shout out to @pastorclint for how he handled the gavel these two years. He’s the Hulk Hogan of the SBC—calls everyone brother and has 15 inch pythons. Great man, and great president #SBC26
@AllKindsWeather The same is true for you. You have been hard on SS (all deserved), but quick to point out how he has reversed course. Good for you for not making it personal, but always about the issues. That too is a good trait
This is the most excited I have been leaving the annual meeting. Great elections—@waynebray@WillyRice Craig Carlisle—and @albertmohler’s Truth and Unity Amendment passing with 75% in favor. Other great reports/resolutions/commissioning. Great days ahead #SBC26
@pastordmack If messengers wanted to continue debate, they could have voted against calling the question. That is the procedure. I was there. It was overwhelming that we were ready to vote.
@JosiahHawthorne@hornj@pastorclint “Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.”

Ok fellow messengers to the 2026 Southern Baptist Convention, please get to convention session NOW to vote YES to suspend rule so we can vote on amendment I proposed this morning. We must press on! We need to get this done.
