I believe the Tech exists for functional realtime translation (think multilingual closed captioning in live conversation)

With Whisper and llama you can transcribe and translate LOCALLY with ~4s latency.

So assuming the tech is there, why is the product not?

@stronkly_typed It’s like if a bank is constantly getting robbed they chose to only be open 30 mins in the morning and 30 mins in the afternoon instead of adding more survelence and guards to stop the baddies while they can still serve the goodies.
