Another night of terror in Kyiv. The Russian army, as usual, launched rocket attacks on residential buildings. Ten civilians were killed and dozens were wounded.
Such attacks make no military sense – they're simply terrorism. The Russians can't win on the front lines, so they take revenge on civilians, killing people while they sleep.
Heartbreaking images this morning from Kyiv yet again. Kharkiv, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia also attacked. More civilians murdered in their sleep. Russia is a terrorist state!
The Russians are attacking civilians again. A UNESCO-protected building is on fire in the center of Lviv.
It was in the heart of the city on a weekday evening and many people were out walking or returning from work.
Ukrainians live under thousands of Russian strikes with various types of weapons. In the last week of winter alone, Russia used more than 1,720 attack drones, nearly 1,300 guided aerial bombs, and over 100 missiles of various types against Ukraine.
But despite everything, Ukrainians made it through this difficult winter, when Russia did not even try to seek justification for its bestial strikes on civilian critical infrastructure. Over the three months of winter, Russians launched more than 14,670 guided aerial bombs, 738 missiles, and nearly 19,000 attack drones – most of them Russian-Iranian “shaheds” – against our people. These are the same drones the Iranian regime is now launching against countries in the Middle East.
Evil must be confronted in every part of the world. When the United States and other partners show enough determination, even the bloodiest dictators ultimately pay for their crimes. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine defend itself and save lives.
A brutal drone attack on Odesa. The Russians launched more than 50 drones at the city, with energy infrastructure and civilian facilities as the primary target. Five residential buildings were damaged as a result of this strike, with significant destruction to apartments and stairwells. As of now, dozens of people are reported injured, including children.
All emergency services are deployed on site to provide assistance. The rescue operation will continue until the fate of everyone who may be trapped under the rubble is determined. One of the Russian drones struck a prayer house of Evangelical Christians.
Other regions were also under attack overnight – Lviv, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. The Russians targeted energy facilities and other critical infrastructure. Injuries have been reported. Overall, Russia launched 165 attack drones against Ukraine overnight, about 100 of them “shaheds.”
Every such Russian strike erodes the diplomacy that is still ongoing and undermines the efforts of partners who are helping to end this war. We expect the United States, Europe, and other partners not to remain silent about this and to remember that achieving real peace requires pressure precisely on Moscow – sanctions, the blocking of Russian operations and the entire infrastructure of Russia’s tanker fleet. Without pressure on the aggressor, wars do not stop – just as they do not stop without support for those who defend life. Stable support for our people and our warriors, and faster implementation of agreements, are needed. Thank you to everyone who understands this and helps us!
