@mattyglesias@conorsen Most effective attacks of 2024 were about the economy and inflation. It seems republicans would likely be wise to disavow tariffs, the Iran war, and fight electricity price increases from AI datacenters
We collaborated with @fujifilm to develop the world’s first native color lidar, embedding their industry-leading color science directly into the silicon of our new Rev8 OS digital lidar sensors.

@TokyoWarfare@ousterlidar You can reprocess the data using the Ouster SDK and adjust the voxel size. It’s automatic sizing out of Ouster Studio but there are many more knobs you can turn to make a cleaner SLAM, including voxel size. Here’s a post on how: https://t.co/M6bXAESxkt
@macjshiggins@ousterlidar You got it, it’s a projected skybox for all points where range = 0 in a custom viz that we built. We’re working on a post on this and will share the script
@rospkos_07@ousterlidar Sorry, which part of the image? This one is also a raw point cloud - the points look denser on the car because it’s closer to the sensor, and because the road is sloped away from the sensor.
@rospkos_07@ousterlidar All the color and depth data are captured on the same chip at the same time - no AI and no data filling. Just aggregating all the natively colorized points that the sensor captures.
@StevenGlinert If they had spread out their move into foundries over years a bit more gradually in the 2010s, the margin hit would also have been a smaller more steady drag that’s easier to digest
@StevenGlinert The issue isn’t that they’re *still* ruining the company, it’s that since the invention of the smartphone, they haven’t been able to successfully adapt or lead the cutting edge. The foundry move is great, just 10-15 years late, because they protected margins
@politicalmath I’m not sure anyone bothered to read far enough - the proposal is taxing unrealized cap gains on assets at your time of death. Right now assets get a basis reset with no cap gains taxes when they are passed down through inheritance.
@portland_joe @olsonforpdx And a vacancy tax will make retail real estate less profitable, so developers will build less over time and rents will eventually go back up to where they are
