Africa stands against South Africa
I have stopped going to South Africa for any international conferences for mainly 3 things.
1. Border police rudeness: Some years ago I was invited for a conference on conflicts in the Horn in South Africa. I showed email invite to the border policeman at the desk. He rudely asked: "but why can't you people hold your peace conferences in your homes. Why always come to South Africa?" - I think he had a point. Why must we?
Second time it was worse - "But why are you Zomallis and Ethiopians always here."
I reminded him I was actually Kenyan, and I was only in the country for 2 days for an international conference
Reply: "Sheh, um, eh. But what is the difference"
2. As soon as locals figure out you are a black person, possibly African from another country, the automatic assumption is that you are an illegal migrant. You see immediate hostile reaction. Honestly, I found SA one of the most miserable places on earth in terms of peoples' attitude to foreigners. The visceral hatred towards fellow Africans is unnerving. Still one of the most beautiful geographies in Africa.
3. The state bureaucracy and departments filled with people who actually know very little about the outside world. Most of the best people who made South Africa an outward-looking African power are gone. All remaining are small-time apparatchiks stealing from the state and fat toads serving as diplomats. I feel sorry for South Africa.
@visse_ss Crazy hypocrite, you cannot carry other African countries yet you enjoyed the life saving lift and support they gave you during apartheid
Let’s see your hate filled soul gets on
@asandamagaqa Why don’t you spend some energy standing up AGAINST lazy Xenophobic South Africans beating, humiliating and stealing from fellow Africans on your streets
Why can’t your voice be the voice of reason
Let Ghana worry about Canada enforcing its immigration laws
Stop XENOPHOBIA
@GodsonKankani This is for every single African who suffered at the hands of lazy xenophobic South Africans - long May South Africa feel the wrath of all TRUE AFRICANS

This is Trump’s Watergate.
Today, the @nytimes released a truly stunning report on the Epstein cover-up by the White House.
Collusion, breaking the law, evading subpoenas—it’s all in there:
- Trump quashing the files
- The VP, COS, DOJ, FBI, and others colluding in the Situation Room to stop their release and compliance
- Officials lying to the public
- Admin in-fighting and exits
- Officials who appeared in front of Congress during this time

@AdeJesuRe@General_Somto@akinsonglobal Ethnic Bigot
You had to throw that one in to get the pennies you derive from X likes
I guess the Ghanaians also have an Ibo tribe that led to their persecution by these SA thugs as well
These South Africans don’t need an excuse to show their Xenophobic trait
BREAKING📷 A woman donated $1 million to Trump's super PAC. Three weeks later, her son a convicted tax criminal was pardoned. His pardon application literally mentioned her donation.
Her name is Elizabeth Fago. Her son, Paul Walczak, had pleaded guilty to federal tax crimes. The pardon application filed on his behalf explicitly cited his mother's million-dollar donation to MAGA Inc. as a reason he deserved clemency. Trump signed the pardon. Walczak walked free and was relieved of more than $4 million in restitution he owed.
That is one entry on a donor list of 58 people who gave a million dollars or more.
MAGA Inc., Trump's super PAC, has now raised over $305 million since the 2024 election five times more than any presidential super PAC in history at this stage. The Brennan Center called it "completely unprecedented." Ninety-six percent of it came from donors giving $1 million or more. Sixty-two percent from those giving $5 million or more. This is not a grassroots operation. It is a pay-window.
Here's what the donor list actually shows.
https://t.co/s5GJV5zpIa's parent company, Foris Dax, gave $30 million — while it was under SEC investigation for allegedly trading unregistered securities. The SEC investigation was quietly dropped in March 2025, two months after the donation.
The Winklevoss twins gave $1 million — also while their crypto platform Gemini was under SEC investigation. That investigation was dropped in February 2025.
Energy Transfer, the Texas pipeline company, and its CEO Kelcy Warren gave a combined $25 million — while Energy Transfer was actively suing a federal regulatory agency in court.
OpenAI President Greg Brockman and his wife gave $25 million — as the Trump administration was actively shaping AI policy in Silicon Valley's favor.
Then there are the appointments. Benjamin Landa gave $5 million then became Trump's ambassador to Hungary. Kelly Loeffler and her husband gave $5 million she now runs the Small Business Administration. Warren Stephens gave $2 million now ambassador to the United Kingdom. Jared Isaacman gave $2 million now NASA administrator.
And Isabela Herrera, a 25-year-old self-employed financial consultant whose only prior political donation was $20 to Pete Buttigieg in 2020, somehow contributed $3.5 million to MAGA Inc. Her father a Venezuelan billionaire facing federal bribery charges was pardoned by Trump in January 2026. Campaign Legal Center has filed a formal complaint with the FEC alleging she was a straw donor for her father.
This is not dark money. This is public record.
Every dollar, every favor, every pardon. Filed with the FEC. Sitting in plain sight.

The Fall of DSTV
DSTV raised its subscription prices three times in two years.
Then it lost 1.4 million Nigerian subscribers in those same two years.
Then it slashed its decoder price by 50% to beg those subscribers to come back.
Some people will call it business strategy but this is a company eating itself alive and wondering why it is hungry.
The numbers are brutal.
MultiChoice lost 2.8 million active subscribers across Africa over two financial years. 1.2 million in 2025 alone. An 8% year on year decline.
Nigeria accounted for 77% of subscriber losses across all of MultiChoice’s African operations outside South Africa. The Rest of Africa base collapsed from 9.3 million in 2023 to 7.5 million in 2025.
Nigeria did not just leave DSTV, they buried it and the content is leaving with the subscribers.
BET Africa and MTV Base shut down January 2026. CBS Reality and CBS Justice went December 2025. CNN International, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network, TNT Africa, Food Network and several others were all at risk of removal.
A platform charging premium prices while removing the channels people subscribed for is not a product anymore but a subscription to disappointment.
DSTV built its Nigerian dominance on a monopoly with no serious competition for decades. So it did what every monopoly does when it feels untouchable. It raised prices whenever it wanted, reduced value whenever it could, and treated Nigerian subscribers like they had no alternative.
Then Netflix arrived. Then YouTube got faster. Then data became more accessible. Then the naira collapsed and Nigerians had to choose between DSTV and eating.
Omo we chose eating.
MultiChoice responded by cutting decoder prices from N20,000 to N10,000 and launching a promotional campaign called “We Got You”.
“We Got You” from the same company that raised your subscription three times in 24 months, removed your favourite channels, and treated your complaints like background noise.
They did not get you, they lost you and now they are running after you with a discount like an ex who only calls when they realise you moved on.
DSTV is not falling because of Netflix or the economy.
It is falling because it spent twenty years treating Nigerian consumers with contempt and assumed loyalty was the same thing as having no choice.
Nigerians finally got a choice but not MultiChoice
