American martial artist and Hollywood action star Chuck Norris has passed away, his family confirmed on Friday, March 20.

In a social media post, Norris' family shared that he passed away yesterday morning, surrounded by his loved ones.

"To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family," part of the statement read.
