Accept it or not, RR never looked like a deserving finalist when their entire campaign depended on one uncapped 15 year old carrying the batting every other game.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is undeniably a generational talent at that age, but IPL teams do not win championships through one-player dependency. Every time RR crossed 200+, that kid was contributing almost half the runs while the experienced batting core disappeared under pressure and waited for momentum or luck to save them.

Glad GT knocked them out, because if RR had reached the finals playing like this, it would’ve been unfair to teams that actually functioned like complete units. RCB for all the reasons is the only structurally stable team of this season, top order contributions, middle order recovery, bowling support, partnerships under pressure.

Now the finals will actually feel like a contest between complete teams instead of one teenager trying to drag an inconsistent batting lineup through another knockout game.
