That tragedy was preventable. The administration rushed us into a war with Iran that we were not operationally prepared to fight. It is a dereliction of duty to fail our troops and their families like this.

As a retired Army Brigadier General, I find it incredibly disturbing that the outgoing Army Secretary felt he needed to go straight to the president to express doubt about Secretary Hegseth's leadership.

From purging military leaders to dismissing the concerns of sailors aboard the USS Lincoln, the evidence is clear: Secretary Hegseth is unfit to lead the Pentagon.

Anna Paulina Luna voted five times in favor of the Iran war. Hegseth's repeated failures are hers to own, as well.

Days after Stars and Stripes reported on rough conditions aboard the USS Lincoln, the Pentagon fired the outlet’s publisher, editor, and the reporter who wrote it. Around the same time, WaPo revealed something the Pentagon won’t explain: Hegseth has been quietly moving pro-Trump military influencers into government roles, with no disclosure of what they actually do. Here’s the thing they don’t want you to know:
Using tax dollars to push propaganda at American citizens has been illegal since Congress passed 10 U.S.C. 2241a after the 2008 “message force multipliers” scandal (paid retired generals pushing WMD talking points on TV).

Same law, same playbook, different administration. Fire the journalists telling the truth. Pay the influencers telling you what you want to hear.

I hope those “influencers” have good lawyers.

I so wish more people had understood that George Carlin's "comedy" riffs were vitally important political messages about how capitalism and the American Dream were harming the majority of Americans. Today, there is no achievable american dream for the younger generations who can
