@Architect9000 The banks are acting in their own self interest which is a rational thing to do. And we arent going to get rid of regulatory capture anytime soon. There plenty of ways to earn yield on chain and I think more people will end up there. Lets just get clarity done
@Architect9000 Why not give every country reciprocal tariffs. They select the amount. Give free trade an actual shot. Of course, would need a way to prevent non-trade barriers but as a general principal it seems obvious and best
@Architect9000 You must have some decent distribution ability after having built what looks like 3 successful businesses? At least enough to do whatever you want with some cash behind you? Seems like erring on the side of anonymity with less distribution is better than the alternative
amazing how many people still don’t take him at face value. Of course there have been many lies but he tends to do that with superficial, meaningless stuff. He’s quite direct and honest on the big ticket items. And now the taco thing prob makes him want to follow through even more!
While I don't like the strong-armed nature of his message (ie., India should be able to buy military equipment from whomever they want), I'm more interested in the signal of this message. Its becoming quite obvious that there will be a comprehensive trade deal between the US and India. Opportunites will exist for many businesses and products that never existed before.
#WATCH | Washington DC | US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick says, "...There were certain things that the Indian government did that generally rubbed the United States the wrong way. For instance, you generally buy your military gear from Russia. That's a way to kind of get under the skin of America if you're going to buy your armaments from Russia. I think India starting to move towards buying military equipment from the United States, which then goes a long way. And these kind of things just creating that relationship being a part of BRICS, which is, oh, let's move to not support the dollar and dollar hegemony. That's not really the way to make friends and influence people in America. The President calls that out directly and specifically, and the Indian government is addressing it specifically. And that's how you move on to a really positive place. Put it on the table, address it straight on, resolve it straight on and get to a really good place. And I think that's where we are..."
