I run an online business and got tired of paying for a dozen overlapping tools โ research, creatives, analytics, automation, all separate logins, all separate bills.
So I started consolidating my stack into one system instead.
This account is me documenting that โ what I switch to, what actually saves money, what's overhyped, what's not.
No fluff, no guru talk. Just what I'm actually using to run things.
Following along if you're dealing with the same tool overload.
1/ Stop wasting time on tools that don't work.
(This is why your business costs keep creeping up.)
2/ Most people running an online business are doing it wrong โ paying for 8-12 separate subscriptions instead of one system.
3/ The key is having a stack that compounds instead of scatters. Here's the 3-step overview:
Step 1: Audit every tool you pay for
Step 2: Find where they overlap
Step 3: Consolidate what's left
4/ Now let's break down Step 1.
Most people have never actually listed every tool + its monthly cost side by side. Once you do, the real number is usually 2-3x higher than expected.
5/ Step 2 โ the overlap.
An AI writing tool and a marketing tool often do the same job twice. A video editor and an image tool usually overlap too. You're paying multiple bills for the same category of work.
6/ Step 3 โ once you see the overlap, consolidating is simple. One dashboard instead of a dozen logins, one bill instead of a dozen.
7/ This is exactly what I switched to โ 25+ business apps under one login. AI video, AI image, e-commerce, marketing, all synced under one system.
Fewer tools. More clarity. Actual growth.
@SaulSellsStuff Same thing happened here, just smaller.
Kept adding apps for problems that werenโt actually tool problems.
Cut most of them and the work didnโt get harder.
Used to treat every problem like it needed a new tool
Page not converting? New builder.
Ads dying? New creative app.
Fulfillment messy? Another automation.
Ended up with a bunch of logins I barely opened and a higher bill every month.
Cut it down to the few I actually use every day. The rest I cancelled.
Numbers didnโt drop.
Thatโs the whole update.
Quick gut check for anyone running an online business:
If you had to cut your tool stack down to just 3 apps, which 3 would you keep?
Mine would be an analytics tool, an ad creative tool, and whatever handles automation.
Everything else feels replaceable.
Curious what everyone else's non-negotiables are.
