One of the more exciting developments around agents in the last few months has been the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It is the AI-first version of connectors or OpenAPI specs - and can bring new tools to agents.

And MCP is now supported natively in Copilot Studio, complete with support for auth, private network access, data loss protection, and more.
