@finestsoup both of Camp’s other current runs (Assorted Crisis Events and Ultimates) are doing a lot of interesting stuff with paneling/structure, ACE especially
If you are at the Mariners game tonight, TRUST ME and get the Cannoli. Absolute perfection. If you don't get the Cannoli, Dominic Canzone will come beat you up.
Gotta hand it to him, giant money pit project with a fatal design flaw that renders it useless and leads to the downfall of an empire is a pretty apt comparison.
@5hanksy@darkprometheus1@Driss1715@alanthefisher And maybe you’re different, but I’m more than happy to trade not having to deal with other drivers + not having to spend 4 hours actively driving for the potential of having to deal with an annoying passenger lol
@5hanksy@darkprometheus1@Driss1715@alanthefisher The Acela from nyc to bos is a quarter shy of 4 hours at the moment. If you buy the tickets in advance and not day of - which you would also need to do for rental cars - it’s $70 for business class. You get one personal item, 2 carry ons, and 2 free checked bags on Amtrak
@darkprometheus1@5hanksy@Driss1715@alanthefisher We do it like Japan now in the north east corridor! Most stops are just a couple minutes, the longer ones are just because it has to refuel which wouldn’t be necessary if we electrified
@darkprometheus1@5hanksy@Driss1715@alanthefisher Saying we shouldn’t have high speed rail between Miami and New York is also saying - as you pointed out - that we shouldn’t have high speed rail between Raleigh and DC, which seems very silly.
@darkprometheus1@5hanksy@Driss1715@alanthefisher In the end, yes the airplane from Miami to New York probably wins strictly on time. But the train has the benefits of better comfort, servicing all those towns in between, being better for the environment, being easier to get to and from, etc.
