“Marriage found me at just 19. It wasn’t my choice, my parents arranged it. At first, I was scared. I didn’t know how to love a man I didn’t choose.
But as time passed, love grew. We spent 23 years together. He was sick for 15 of those years, and in 2000, he passed away.
We had three beautiful children, and I adopted five more. One of them died, so I now have seven. I never remarried. I chose to stay with my children and raise them well.
Today, people take too long trying to fix themselves, yet marriages don’t last. In our time, our parents chose for us, and we stayed committed.
I have told my children never to think of divorce. I raised my daughters to be respectful and my sons to be responsible. That is how I built a strong home through hardship, love, respect, and sacrifice.”

Islam has always been a religion of peace in Nigeria during our military administration. However, we must stop tolerating notorious hooligans & fake self-proclaimed clerics like Sheikh Gumi, who are damaging the image of Islam in northern Nigeria & disrupting our nation’s peace.
As someone whose team just faced Osimhen, I have to say playing against him is genuinely scary and frustrating. Our centre backs aren’t usually this bad, and we rarely struggle this much when defending crosses. But this guy is an absolute monster.
Right now, I genuinely think he has the best box presence in world football. His movement is extremely intelligent, he knows exactly when and where to attack the space, and physically he is on another level. His strength makes it almost impossible to duel with him, his jumping ability is insane, and he always seems to be at the end of every single cross.
With all due respect to Galatasaray, he’s seriously wasting his prime years in Turkey. He deserves a better team in a top league.
PRESS RELEASE
FG: SUCCESSFUL PRECISION STRIKES ON FOREIGN ISIS ELEMENTS APPROVED BY PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU
The Federal Government of Nigeria @NigeriaGov, in close coordination with the Government of the United States of America, has successfully conducted precision strike operations against two major Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist enclaves located within the Bauni forest axis of Tangaza Local Government Area, Sokoto State.
Intelligence confirmed that these locations were being used as assembly and staging grounds by foreign ISIS elements infiltrating Nigeria from the Sahel region, in collaboration with local affiliates, to plan and execute large-scale terrorist attacks within Nigerian territory.
The precision strike operations were executed between 00:12 hours and 01:30 hours on Friday, 26 December, 2025, following explicit approval by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR @officialABAT.
The operation was carried out under established command and control structures, with the full involvement of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and under the supervision of the Honourable Ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs, as well as the Chief of Defence Staff.
The strikes were launched from maritime platforms domiciled in the Gulf of Guinea, after extensive intelligence gathering, operational planning, and reconnaissance.
A total of 16 GPS-guided precision munitions were deployed using MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial platforms, successfully neutralising the targeted ISIS elements attempting to penetrate Nigeria from the Sahel corridor.
During the course of the operation, debris from expended munitions fell in Jabo, Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, and in Offa, Kwara State, near the premises of a hotel. No civilian casualties were recorded in either location, and relevant authorities promptly secured the affected areas.
The Federal Government of Nigeria reiterates its unwavering resolve to confront, degrade, and eliminate terrorist threats, particularly those posed by transnational extremist networks seeking to undermine Nigeria’s sovereignty and security.
Nigeria remains fully aligned with its strategic partners and Friends of Nigeria in executing coordinated actions aimed at ensuring lasting peace, border security, and regional stability.
The Federal Government assures all Nigerians that it remains firmly in control of the national security architecture and is fully committed to the protection of lives and property.
Citizens are urged to remain calm and vigilant as decisive actions continue against all terrorist groups threatening the nation.
Mohammed Idris, fnipr
Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation.

Muslims, Listen Carefully — This Message Is for Us
Some people are asking why Badaru was removed as Minister of Defence and replaced with Christopher Musa. Let’s be honest with ourselves: Nigeria does not belong to Muslims alone, and it does not belong to Christians alone.
Being a Muslim does not automatically make anyone a better leader, and being a Christian does not make anyone less capable. What truly matters is competence, dedication, and results. Christopher Musa is now in this position, and what we should expect from him is performance — not because of his religion, but because that is what leadership demands.
We must stop viewing national issues through the lens of religion. We must stop judging leaders based on faith instead of their work. We are Nigerians first, and our loyalty should be to the progress of our country above all else.
My fellow Muslims, let us understand this clearly: Nigeria is for all of us. Serve your nation sincerely. Judge leaders by their actions. Stand for unity. What Allah has destined is bigger than Islam, bigger than Christianity — it is about the future of our Nigeria.
