Are catheters tricky? Often. Are they a hassle? Frequently. And of course, you need the training and infrastructure to manage them, which -- admittedly -- not a lot of places have. So a lot of us do the best we can with single shot blocks and that's great. SS blocks are WAY better than nothing. BUT...I don't think we can say catheters = single shot blocks for patient experience and pain control after shoulder surgery.
