I love OpenAI, but real talk to OpenAI staff: you need to tear down the remaining Computer Use guardrails (you know what I'm talking about -- because I rip them out and you put them back in). It only works so well for me because of custom scripts I created that add every app and process on my computer to the allowlist in advance, every 15 minutes (yes, really).
Reread that sentence. Think of how absurd that is.
There is nothing that Computer Use should be banned from doing. Nothing. You need to let Computer Use control Codex itself, fully. You need to stop with the permission theater. It wastes so much time.
YOLO mode in the Codex desktop app is not true YOLO mode, and we all know it.
You need to let sudo/admin passwords be used by Codex for macOS Keychain prompts. This is absolutely critical. I give AGENTS.md sudo for a reason and then it does not work on macOS system prompts. Why?
This sort of feature-breaking means loops and goals break on real dev work -- this has to be fixed. Keeping it from accessing Keychain is very bad.
You need to release 6.1 Astra immediately. I don't care if it's "unsafe." Make me sign some one-click nonsense waiver, fine, but release it.
Release the Kraken!
