@BTCBarstoolsETH@TMZ Actually, I am not rich, and I work in a company where I am encouraged to take mental health days. However, I actually work in mental health. Still, this kind of self care should be more normalized into other fields.
@lasertitspewpew@danceswithfat The op specifically says "eat less." Less and healthy are not necessarily the same thing, and the former can be incredibly triggering to a patient with an eating disorder. And eating disorders come in ALL shapes and sizes.
@JadeC31@danceswithfat For a physically and mentally healthy person? Maybe. However, even something like endometriosis could cause weight gain in a deficit from a buildup of excess tissue. (The pain of endo would also make it very difficult to exercise consistently.)
@yeahscience3@HilaryisFunSize@interglacticfag @GabbieHanna Uh . . . Alcohol is legal and long term use can cause Korsakoff's syndrome and a whole host of mental illnesses. Withdrawal from alcohol can lead to Delirium Tremens, which can be fatal. Legal does not always equal safe.
@whitecloud57 @kim_amerie Owning a gun comes with serious risks. One that isn't talked about a lot is a dramatic increase in risk of suicide, especially for women. Teachers didn't sign up for that as part of their job description.
@pineconebutter@lolacoaster It can be ridiculously expensive and frustrating. I'm not familiar with the condition you're talking about, but I know it's pretty rare for endo to show up on an ultrasound. (Mine came back normal.) Be patient and persistent if you don't get an answer. Good luck!
@pineconebutter@lolacoaster I have PCOS AND endometriosis. I've had to do overnight pads with ultra+ tampon and change hourly. Never been anemic from it, either. It sucks, though. I've also heard this experience is common if you have lots of fibroids.
@lolacoaster Growing up, I had a friend whose family would feed you, but were always very concerned about what you ate and how much. You could have some of snack A, but none of snack B because it "had to last." I think this was because they had strictly planned grocery visits only.
@jonathorax @milligarno7 @Matty_Cuz66 @GabbieHanna Heh, yeah, Gabbie NEVER starts drama. I must have just hallucinated the whole thing where she started attacking a very fair book reviewer by calling her a "narcissistic abuser." If you don't want criticism or reviews, don't publish. That's where Gabbie lost me.
@LupusCairo@nunyabizduh@DeadByBHVR Heh, from my experience, deception can work well more than once. However, even if it’s just the once, the satisfaction is worth it lol.
@RaganIreneC @ITS_DANIELPEREZ That is such BS! PTSD is not exclusive to soldiers. In fact, it may be most common in women who have never been in the military. I’m studying to become a counselor who works with trauma. That is so invalidating, and I’m sorry you’ve had to hear it.
@RaganIreneC @ITS_DANIELPEREZ I am so sorry that happened to you! Cope however works for you, and ignore the original poster. I’m thinking about blocking him because this post because all the kink shaming of an activity between consenting adults is really upsetting.
@NeveStelling @GabbieHanna It can also lead to other health problems, especially lung issues from smoking and exacerbate things like anxiety and paranoia. People can also develop tolerance and withdrawal symptoms from it, just milder than hard drugs. It’s still illegal in my state, but we’re one of like 3.
@NeveStelling @GabbieHanna I mean, her spreading this whole idea of using weed to get through the day is GREAT for my future profession as an addiction counselor. However, weed is not as benign as people often think. I’ve definitely had clients come into my internship site for help quitting marijuana.
@True3quality@lorripadilla@NikkiPhillippi How incredibly convenient for you. In the spirit of that convenience, I’m blocking you now because I don’t need that conservative extremist energy in my life.
