🇬🇪George Sankidze’s message is painfully clear:
Russia🇷🇺 has won Georgia—for now.
Western inaction has a price. The failure to impose targeted sanctions on Ivanishvili and his enablers, who’ve hijacked every democratic institution in Georgia, sealed this outcome.
What could’ve been stopped, wasn’t.
Now we’re left with the bitter truth: a captured state, a silenced opposition, and a society cornered by despair.
The only real deterrent—early and strategic pressure on the oligarch’s financial network from the Uk and EU—never came.
Instead, silence.
If we want to salvage any hope, the West must acknowledge this defeat—not with platitudes, but with resolve. We can still do something.
That means:
– Freezing assets.
– Cutting offshore lifelines.
– Supporting real civic resilience, not cosmetic diplomacy.
Because without bold action now, the next “Georgia” will fall too.

They are creating a €500 billion ($536 billion) infrastructure fund in a tectonic spending shift to revamp the military and revive growth in Europe’s largest economy. And this is just for Germany.
This decision to develop its economy around defence manufacturing will not only boost defence capabilities, it will turbocharge the economy in the mid term.
