“Every victory is painted as an act of aggression, rather than a reclaiming of what should never have been taken in the first place... We need to keep telling this story, the true one, until we have more than just the law on our side.” @glosswitch on Ponds

Next week is the Aberdeen South By-Election on 18 June 2026.
Women & girls deserve candidates who understand that women are a sex class in their own right
Biological sex is real, immutable, and critical for single-sex spaces, sports, prisons, refuges, shelters, data, and safeguarding.
where do the 7 candidates stand from a sex realist perspective. Thread 👇

This trans identified male tried to sue his workplace on the basis of gender discrimination. Employed as a childcare worker, he offered an 11-year-old child a “free kiss” as a prize during an activity.
The WRC dismissed the claim
Safeguarding concerns must always come first
Female police officers should never be expected to search men who say they are women.
We’re in court on 16th June, standing up for officers whose forces think unlawful searches can be allowed “by consent”.
Will you support our legal challenge?

NHS Lothian, remove the progressive Pride flag now.
This isn’t the old rainbow for gay rights, it’s a political banner pushing gender ideology that erases women’s sex-based rights, undermines same-sex attraction, and prioritises contested activism over biology in medicine.
As a public body under the Equality Act 2010, you have a Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED, s.149) to eliminate discrimination on sex, sexual orientation, and belief (including gender-critical views). Waving this flag fails that duty, chills dissent, and breaches patient trust.
@KemiBadenoch is right to call for the scrapping of the PSED. It’s become a minefield of identity politics, diverting the NHS from real care into divisive ideology and legal risks. Public services should serve patients with evidence and neutrality, not wave flags or wear progressive pride lanyards.
Focus on waiting lists, not rainbows.

Q Manivannan, as an elected MSP for Edinburgh & Lothians East, is meant to represent all constituents, including the many Scottish women with legitimate concerns about sex-based rights.
Yet liking a protest post declaring ‘No TERFs’ sends a clear message: gender-critical women, those defending single-sex spaces, fair sports, child safeguarding, and biological reality, are not welcome.
Once again, women in Scotland are marginalised, criticised and ignored. This isn’t progressive; it’s regressive exclusion dressed up as kindness. It sidelines half the population’s concerns in the name of ‘inclusion.’
Scottish women have every right to speak up without being told they’re bigots for wanting safety and fairness. MSPs should foster open debate, not signal that dissenting women belong outside the conversation.
There seems a fashion on the right of politics to say repealing the Equality Act would be a good thing. They don’t say what precise consequences would flow or what they intend to do to prevent adverse consequences. Why then do people mindless cheer on such superficial thinking?
Published in the BMJ … it is negligent & illegal, to not record the biological sex of patients. Many medical procedures & diagnosis differ depending on sex. It’s dangerous, stupid, & ruins data collection information which we base policy & practices on. This nonsense has to stop
A paedophile who changed gender while in prison for sexually abusing their own daughter as a child and sending explicit photos of her to perverts online has been quietly released back into the community.
Claire Fox, 61, who was previously known as Clive Bundy, who has six kids, served just seven years of a 15-year jail sentence, before being settled into a tiny market town on the Welsh borders.
Fox, who wears a black wig and floral dresses told neighbours, who knew nothing of fox's sordid past, that fox was an electrician from Bangor as they helped get settled into fox's new surroundings and helped furnish her flat.
Fox arrived in a sheltered accommodation block for older people in a tiny town at the start of June.
Fox was given new furniture, a television, printer, washing machine and crockery by the armed forces charity SSAFA because fox had once been in the Territorial Army.
Fox’s release from prison has appalled the daughter Ceri-Lee Galvin, who bravely waived her right to anonymity, having been abused by her father for nine years from the age of eight.
Revealing her astonishment, Ceri-Lee, 24, said: ‘My father is not a woman and I refuse to recognise him as such. He changed his gender in prison to make his life there easier.
‘But now he is out and already up to his usual tricks conning everyone he meets.
‘The fact he is now dressed as a woman makes him more dangerous as young girls are his thing and he has never shown any remorse.
‘My father is a highly manipulative man who has attended no sexual offender rehabilitation programmes, shown no remorse for what he has done and openly admits finding children attractive.
‘There have been no meetings I’m aware of to tell local schools about his presence, he has no tag and no curfew. He has just been put into this community and given all he could wish for – food, furniture and a home.’
Ceri-Lee, now a student paramedic, added: ‘I am in no way transphobic and I feel incredibly sorry for people who genuinely need to transition. They face stigma and worse because of cases like this.
‘But it should just not be an option for those convicted of sexual offences against children to suddenly say that they want to be a woman.
‘This only arose at the end of 2021 when he was due to be moved to an open prison but then had a fight with a fellow prisoner that was serious enough to stop the move.
‘That is when he went for the gender change – when he was almost 60, having been a macho man all his life and having had eight children and having never mentioned gender dysphoria before.
‘Now he is being indulged by everyone. The prison service gave him make-up and women’s clothes and now a charity for the armed forces have provided him with so much stuff when all he did was a short stint in the Territorial Army in his 20s.
In a workshop in Ulverston, on the edge of the Lake District, a few dozen people are the last in Britain who can do a thing this country once did better than anywhere on earth: take molten glass, blow it by lung and hand, and cut it until it throws light like nothing else made by man.
The company is called Cumbria Crystal. Its craftsmen were brought up from Stourbridge in 1976, out of the old heartland of English glass - and then, one by one between 1990 and 2007, every great Stourbridge house shut its doors, until a skill that once had its capital across the West Midlands had its last redoubt in a single building in Cumbria.
This year, Heritage Crafts placed hand-cut crystal on its Red List of Critically Endangered Crafts. One more workshop gone, one more retirement that goes unreplaced, and three centuries of mastery simply end - it goes the way of stonemasonry or, you probably wouldn't believe is increasingly the case, metalwork.
There is a detail here on which the picture revolves. The crystal on the tables of British embassies, the glass set before presidents and kings when this country wishes to show the world what it is, comes in good part from that same endangered workshop in Ulverston. We use the craft to impress the world and cannot trouble ourselves to keep it alive at home. The glass that says "look what Britain can do" is being quietly permitted to become the glass that says "look what Britain used to be able to do."
There is no villain in this, not exactly. No minister set out to kill English crystal. It is dying the way most things die here now - by inattention, by an energy bill the kiln can barely meet, by a culture that spent two generations teaching the young that working with your hands was a lesser destiny, by the lazy faith that someone, somewhere, would always keep the old skills going so the rest of us needn't think about it.
Progress takes the opposite view of a thing like this. A skill is capital - the most patiently accumulated capital a country owns - and a nation that lets its mastery lapse is poorer in a way no quarterly figure will ever record. And a nation that barrels its energies into skill capital is rich.
Our Hallmark system exists to stamp such skills, to honour them, and to pay the people who hold them to teach the next hands, because the distance between a living craft and a glass case in a museum is exactly one generation that could not afford to pass it on.
The men and women in Ulverston still know how it is done. For now. The only question is whether a country that can fill an embassy, an office, a home, with their work can be bothered to ensure that, fifty years from now, there is still anyone left who can make the next set.
Scottish Trans has produced a template letter to ask MPs to reject the EHRC code.
Why is taxpayer money being used to send emails to MPs asking them to disobey the law? A law that @scotgov@JohnSwinney claim to accept?

I’ve been mass-reported after posting about Sunday’s trans protest against women’s right to single sex space. My account is throttled and views severely restricted.
Fragile egos on those boys. 🤣
This was 2016. When the BBC reported on the British army’s ‘first woman’ to serve on the front line. And it was actually a man with long hair.
Sometimes you forget how deeply embedded this sexist BS is in society, how damaging it has been for women and how long it will take to unpick.
The EU is unraveling into full-scale misogyny and homophobia. They are making sex self-ID a condition for new states like Montenegro that want to join. It is an utter disgrace.
Most who propagate this drivel have no idea what they are doing. Some know very well what they are doing - and are very pleased with the progress of their campaign.
11 trans people have been murdered in the United Kingdom since 2000. All of them were killed by somebody they knew.
In that timeframe, 20 trans people have committed homicide in the UK, including one stranger killing.
There is no trans genocide.
There isn’t even any real persecution.
When it comes to homicide, trans people are the safest demographic in the western world, and it’s past time that members of that community stop pretending to be the most victimy victims ever to be victimized.
